I just received a phone call from Kristinn!!
The DC Chapter of Protest Warriors obtained a permit for Code Pinks side of the street today after the Pinkos forgot to renew their permit. The blood dancers tried to stick it out for about 20-25 minutes before they tucked tail and retreated a block away to the closed entrance. Freepers and Protest Warriors now have all four corners outside the main entrance to WRAMC!
Cool people from Texas bump!
You're right. We'll need people for our 4 corner freep!
Hooray for ConcreteBob's strategery!
Bump
I must respectfully decline your invitation to personally participate. I would not be able to maintain self control were I confronted by a member of Code Pink on the sidewalk, regardless of gender or age. The methods employed by your adversaries are not legitimate, political discourse. They are simply intolerable, corrosive behaviors that are within my power to diminish given the opportunity.
The veteran who came over to where were standing didn't take long to figure out who supported troops & who didn't. He yelled at the "peacenicks" that signs like they were holding were what killed over 50,000 of his brothers in Viet Nam. He was NOT happy.
This whole thread is making my stomach hurt. You guys totally rock!
In taking the time out of life, we try to have fun at Code Pinks expense.
No, on the eighth day God did not make a Marine. Nine months older than what?
They certainly don't make it very difficult for you! I love you guys. That bug picture will keep me laughing for days!
The picture that was taken from was the night Gael came to our side. I was standing just to the left. It is good she did not look like that.
they certainly don't!
This makes me so happy. Code Pinko will not slink away for good, though..but I know our side will be ready for them!
BTW, sure is good to "hear" your cybervoice...
Fortunately, we are separated by a large six-lane Avenue, with four lanes of moving traffic. But believe me, I know how you feel. The one time I did let myself go across the street I was sickened with anger. We're safer sticking together in our own permit zone. AND NOW, IT'S ON ALL FOUR CORNERS OF THE WALTER REED ENTRANCE, A BLOCK AWAY FROM THE POND SCUM! (Pardon my enthusiasm.)
P'shaw. Don't even go there with me, mister : )
Perhaps the magnitude of this is not as easy to see from your corner as it is from here. Ya'll have covered and countered and held two corners-now that the other two have been seized, all four are now under joint command. And it is beautiful, I tell ya, BEAUTIFUL to behold, by God.
Ya'll are absolutely awesome.
I really don't want to sound like an idiot (Hubby would say, why start worrying about that NOW LOL!) showering you all with praise over and over and over, but I can't help myself. You people, seriously, can't know how much this means to me. I'm sure Mike Sparling can't even begin to express what he feels. He's on the inside looking out, and I'm on the outside looking in. He's with the troops that have already been down the road and I'm with some who are still looking down the road.
Ya'll just erected a BIGGER barricade to those who would run ANY of them over.
His troops get to see that this behavior won't be 'tolerated' and my troops get the weight of this monkey off their backpacks.
That's not even taking into account how the troops in the field and 'Nam vets must feel. And so, I'm going to continue showering you all with praise. Do NOT argue with me! )
"As far as ridding the corner, I don't think this mess is over by any stretch."
It's clean for now, thanks to you all and I am reveling in that, to be sure.
As 'ugly' as Code Pink is (ugly being a term used 'round these parts as nasty/distasteful/mean-spirited/mean-hearted/hurtful) I won't be a bit surprised if it's not over. Some of those folks that WERE on the other corner (most of them IMHO) are too ignorant to realize what's REALLY going on. And Gael plays 'em like a fiddle.
The Pinkos told ya'll that?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They told that to one of us who went across the street. It was not me.
BTTT
go see #1053
Oh dear.
I've been going to post that for a long time, but I've had the hardest time finding it. Until that moment. And I went right to it. Hmmmmmmmm.
I don't remember how I originally came across it, but I used it as an insert in the bulletin for a special prayer service for my son that we held at our church on a Saturday afternoon, the week before he left for boot camp.
It was something I thought he'd protest, or scoff about, but he didn't. He was very grateful.
And these lyrics say, better than I ever could, precisely what you folks have done and been for the troops.
IMHO, and with my humble gratitude.
Amen, and I thank God for it.
