I just received a phone call from Kristinn!!
The DC Chapter of Protest Warriors obtained a permit for Code Pinks side of the street today after the Pinkos forgot to renew their permit. The blood dancers tried to stick it out for about 20-25 minutes before they tucked tail and retreated a block away to the closed entrance. Freepers and Protest Warriors now have all four corners outside the main entrance to WRAMC!
YEA, RIGHT!!!
Obviously you weren't a fly on the bulkhead of our cruise last week, otherwise you would have left 'Trooprally' of your ping list.
Check back with you all in the AM.
[Mr] Trooprally
"as I recall, you refused to give up that 8 oz shot glass of Canadian Mist, too."
SHHH! Don't tell people here how big a boozer I am!
LOL

"I saw Ben Saturday..he's looking pretty good for someone in his condition.
He still wants out of the Army, so he join the Marines."
Good to hear. Has he had his last surgery yet?
BTW, I wanna go with you next time if I may. :O)
"But JANB might be going this time, so you can probably ride back with her."

"Yes. These flags were erected on the newly-claimed Protest Warrior corner. We saw them as we drove up. What a sight!"
Good God, that must have been something to see.
My Name Is Old Glory
I am the flag of the
United States of America.
I fly atop the world's tallest buildings.
I stand watch in America's halls of justice.
I stand side by side with the Maple Leaf on the worlds longest undefended border.
I fly majestically over institutions of learning.
I stand guard with power in the world.
Look up and see me.
I stand for peace, honor, truth and justice.
I stand for freedom.
I am confident.
I am arrogant.
I am proud.
When I am flown with my fellow banners,
my head is a little higher,
my colors a little truer.
I bow to no one!
I am recognized all over the world.
I am honored - I am saluted.
I am loved - I am revered.
I am respected -- and I am feared.
I have fought in every battle of every war for more then 200 years. I was flown at Valley Forge, Gettysburg, Shiloh and Appomattox. I was there at San Juan Hill, the trenches of France, in the Argonne Forest, Anzio, Rome and the beaches of Normandy, Guam. Okinawa, Korea and KheSan, Saigon Vietnam.
Know me,
I was there.
I led my troops, I was dirty, battle worn and tired,
but my soldiers cheered me, And I was proud.
I have been burned, torn and trampled on the streets of countries I have helped set free. It does not hurt,
for I am invincible.
I have been soiled upon, burned, torn and trampled on the streets of my country. And when it's by those whom I've served in battle -- it hurts.
But I shall overcome -- for I am strong.
I have slipped the bonds of Earth and stood watch over the uncharted frontiers of space from my vantage point on the moon.
I have borne silent witness to all
of America's finest hours.
But my finest hours are yet to come.
When I am torn into strips and used as bandages for my wounded comrades on the battlefield,
When I am flown at half-mast to honor my soldier,
Or when I lie in the trembling arms of a grieving parent at the grave of their fallen son or daughter,
I am proud.
MY NAME IS OLD GLORY LONG MAY I WAVE.

No.
Tonk, those years haunt me, too. But in a different way.
I was a girl. I knew something was seriously wrong with my world. I never could get the pieces to fit.
Until I found Swift Vets.
And by that time, it looked like we were going to have a deja vu'. I saw it coming. And I begged for help. Because, this time, I had a pawn on the board.
I really did Make a vow, just as you did, THE SAME WORDS. Even that I would fight this with my last breath.
I don't know if anybody here at FRee Republic knows how grateful I am for what I've found here.
You need to dump the PVC for wood or iron pipe and rig a body harness similiar to what a Color Guard would use.
I can't put anything up here that indicates how big the smile is that's plastered all over my face.
That harness is a good idea. I lugged a 10' PVC flagpole around the football conference for several years just like that, flag that big (only one). The PVC was great because it was lightweight, but it did wear me out. And on a windy night, wow, did I get a workout.
(Then I invented a flagpole for my yard out of 10' x 1-2/3" PVC, inserted into a 4'x 2" piece that's half pounded into the ground. Works perfect, it's been up over a year, and under 10 bucks.)
I'm gonna blame it on cobra.
Just 'cause.
LOL!
