After a delay of nearly a month, a Flagstaff woman accused of being connected with the 1998 firebombing of a logging company in Oregon has been released from jail.

Kendall Tankersley, 28, also known as Sarah Harvey, was released from an Oregon jail Jan. 10 on $150,000 bond.

She is back in Flagstaff, ready to begin taking two classes at Northern Arizona University.

Tankersley, a former employee at the university, was indicted in November by a federal grand jury in Oregon.

She is accused of attempted arson and arson, acting as a lookout, in connection with a fire at U.S. Forest Industries in Medford, Ore., in December 1998.

The fire caused an estimated $500,000 in damage.

She has been accused by prosecutors of being a member of the Earth Liberation Front at the time of the arson. She was one of six people arrested around the country in connection with acts of ecoterrorism.

She is scheduled to undergo an arraignment in U.S. District Court in Eugene, Ore., on Monday.

Aspey ordered Tankersley to be released to her domestic partner, who lives and works in Flagstaff.

Tankersley has a degree in molecular biology and has worked for Planned Parenthood ...

Didn't one of them commit suicide in jail last month? Talk about wimping out. Bet he had a big laugh setting those fires. When it comes time to pay the consequences, he takes the coward's way out.

Nice photo. If she jumps bail, the usual percentage (or more) of her $150,000 bond will be attractive to professional recovery agents. She can run, but she can't hide....

I posted a comment giving my opinion that the REAL Kevin was charged with a crime and will hopefully spend the rest of his "productive" years in prison with his new boyfriend...

A fire of suspicious origins destroyed a private waterfront development under construction here in Eureka 3 or 4 months ago. The investigators are saying no accelerates were found but a witness said he saw people on the roof but didn't call PD because he thought they were more of the "homeless" scum here...

What was the determined cause ?

There should be a report with the Fire Marshall.

Maybe the investigators are holding off on the final report until the FBI, ATF, etc. can do some more work.

It's an open, ongoing investigation. The pad has been cleaned up but they are waiting for a check from the insurance company and that rates right up there with "I'm from the government and I'm here to help you"...

This human garbage would be very susceptible to recruiting by folks wishing to harm our country.

Some of the posters on this thread seem to be from the area where the arsons took place, and are reading a lot in the local newspapers.

See if you can get the reporters on this story to do a trace on where the operational finances, and the bail/legal expense money comes from. Tell them it could involve some high profile organizations, and they could have their work picked up by the AP wire.
