No sooner........

I've cleaned and organized everything that would sit still over the past few days. My resolution is to keep it that way as long as possible.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, bacon. :) And by the way, I wish you an especially good year coming up. For all the photos you post of our great President and for the loss you suffered in 2005.
GEORGE WASHINGTON'S (NEW YEAR'S) RESOLUTIONS!! (WE COULD USE A LOT OF THEM HERE...LOL!!)
~*~*~*~ HAPPY NEW YEAR, FREEPERS!!! ~*~*~*~
White House Releases Bush New Years Resolutions (Warning...it's Scrappleface...)
Sure will! Unfortunately, I live in the San Joaquin Valley. We have about the most dirty air in the entire country. Even people with healthy lungs have a hard time breathing here. It IS scary not being able to breathe. I didn't quit by choice, I only quit when I had no choice....but I DID quit and that's all that matters.
Happy New Year to you, Ditter.
The new year celebrations are just starting on BBC1, they will be showing bits from London, Edinburgh and elsewhere in the world.
Thank you
Just read your posts aloud to hubby. We laughed, Humidston, because I'm just the kind, thoughtful person who would be asking him how he's doing. LOL. I'll follow your advice! Thank you for the prayers. They are very much appreciated.
Thanks, tet68, we've talked about spending the money on our fishing trips instead of cigarettes. We both love to fish.
I can relate to what your brother said about the sofa. I have to wash the walls, blinds, and curtains in his bathroom more frequently because of the smoke and nicotine. Nasty!
He believes he can do it. A friend of his just quit using Commit Lozenges, so I guess he'll try those, but he knows the real strength comes from self-determination, faith and prayer.
LOL!! Sure does, but par for the course.
You stay well too. Glad you outgrew your asthma problems.
Is Peach/Mango Horseradish Sauce something you can buy at the store? I don't think I've seen it. Can't eat mangoes anymore, anyway, but it sounds good.
Have you ever made Jezebel Sauce? That's what I put over a block of cream cheese and it sounds like yours is a very similar taste. I freeze it in small containers and it's always ready to go; never actually freezes.
JEZEBEL SAUCE
1 (10 oz.) jar pineapple preserves
1 (10 oz.) jar apple jelly
1/4 C. dry mustard
1/3 C. prepared horseradish
1 1/2 tsp. finely ground pepper
In a food processor fitted with the steel blade, process all ingredients until blended. Spoon into jars. Cover and refrigerate until needed, up to 2 weeks. Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
This is especially good with ham or served over a block of cream cheese to be spread on crackers. [My note: OR ON TOP OF A HEATED BRIE!!]
Saw your question about the St Vincent de Paul Society's drop-off location and thought I'd tell you where the Bellaire one is.
I didn't know if you were thinking of the big church on Bellaire at Buffalo Speedway, but that's not where the thrift store is.
The thrift store is at 5236 Cedar in Bellaire. I walk by there 3-4 times a month.
Cedar is a short little street just one block north of Bellaire Blvd., between Rice Ave and Chimney Rock. If you know where the Bellaire Triangle is (Bellaire/Bissonnet) and the Randall's Store, there is an H-E-B store across Bissonnet.
That H-E-B is one block east of the St Vincent de Paul thrift store.
If you're coming eastbound (like from W Loop 610 S) or westbound (like from SW Fwy) on Bellaire Blvd, you turn north on Ferris St. and StVdP store is one block up, on the corner at Cedar and Ferris. Hope you can help them and they can help you.
You probably should call them first, because they got inundated with Katrina donations and were having a moratorium for a little while.

Tuesday thru Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Just under 2 1/2 mins till 2006 in England just had Amazing Grace sung on BBC.
Yep, it is very similar 'cept I buy it in a jar already made. Company is Silver Spring. I pick it up in the deli section of the grocery store. Others to try are by Rothschild mmm...mmmm the Jalapeno raspberry jam over cream cheese.
I'll have to try your homemade recipe! Sounds pretty darn easy and yummy.
