Massachusetts loses population (and I do a parody)
Boston Globe ^

Posted on 12/23/2005 6:46:04 AM PST by Parody

Massachusetts lost residents for the second year in a row, new federal Census estimates show, underscoring an accelerating population shift from the Northeast to the South and West that threatens to erode the state's political and economic clout...

"Take Me Home, Country Roads" by John Denver
Parody: "Take Me Forth, Any Road"

Almost Hades, Massachusetts;
Land of morons,
Canada-like winters.
Traffic's awful;
Worse than New Jersey's.
"Use" a public bathroom,
You'll catch STDs.

Any road, take me forth
Any place
Better than Massachusetts;
Maybe Georgia.
Take me forth, any road.

Awful memories, Boston Proper;
Must be crazy
Ever to have lived there.
Old and crusty
Cranky leftist guys;
Messed up like all moonbats,
Full of moonbat lies.

Any road, take me forth
Any place
Better than Massachusetts;
Iowa's a
Better home? Maybe so.

They talk of "choice"
Orwellian dread befalls me.
Rainbow flags remind me
That this place is so gay.
Try a random road;
I've got to leave this,
Got to find a better place to stay;
Anyway...

Any road, take me forth
Any place
Better than Massachusetts;
Michigan or
Ohio? Fine, let's go.
Take me forth, down any road.
Take me forth, down any road.

Yah, but the South is now falling into the same trap that new hampshire did many years ago. They want to attract the businesses and employers, but they don't want to deal with the attitude. Unfortunately, you cannot have one without the other. NH made their choice, and they are regretting it. Some of the Southern states have made their choice, and many are beginning to realize their folly.

Liberals in general do not tend to breed. It is a world wide phenomenon. And I dont just mean political liberals, but western, enlightened liberals. For that matter, the white population of the USA isn't breeding much either, but the conservative whites tend to do so.

The problem with population shifts is that after liberals screw up their home state they take their liberal ideas to other states so that they can screw things up there too.

If only conservatives moved out of Massachusetts, and the liberals stayed behind, we'd be living in a perfect world.

I am in NH. The real-estate prices doubled in three years as an exodus of MA people came as Boston prices went up.

It seems like other New England states, such as Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine are still increasing in population.

So let's not blame 'the Northeast'. It's one particular state.

I completely agree. This country is going to be in a lot of trouble unless states like Mass find a way to keep their residents in state. Too many liberals moving south.

"''You kind of have to ask yourself . . . why would it be, when it turns out the economy improved a little bit, that you would continue to lose people outside the state?" said Andy Sum, director of the Center for Labor Market Studies at Northeastern University. The answer, Sum and others said, is better job prospects and cheaper housing elsewhere." They ask WHY?

Why can't Romney get his act together and reverse this trend?

For the past year, there were only 3 states that actually losed population.

Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island.

Go Figure.

I think that alot of the pop. loss in Mass and RI is connected to the lower birth rates among whites, and remember, both of those states are overwhelmingly white.

A General Court (legislature) consisting of < 10% of his party . . .

I'd so rather see him lose a re-election than die in office. It would be humiliating to him.

They're like locusts. They invade an area until their policies of taxation and immorality render it uninhabitable, then they just leave and move to another area and do the same thing all over.
