He should be finished off in such a manner as to send a message to the jihadists.

Any ideas about effective and creative ways to send these messages?

I think their decision to release him may have been linked to the "alleged" release of a German hostage in Iraq. My husband heard about the release of the German in Iraq and just put 2+2 together. The timing was awfully suspicious.

"this piece of filth should have been executed and that be that. NOW, he is being released."

He was pampered for two decades in a German prison cell...now he's a target who'll live his remaining days in fear.

German law could release him from Germany, but that doesn't give him a pass from the U.S.

"We have been in contact with them on the issue," McCormack said. "And at this point I think what I can assure anybody who's listening, including Mr. Hamadi, is that we will track him down. We will find him."

I also am in favor of "neutralizing" these pigs. There are some crimes that don't even deserve justice.

Robert Dean Stethem

"On the second day of the seizure, the hijackers beat and shot to death Stethem, 23, of Waldorf, Md., and dumped his body onto the runway in Beirut."

"Witnesses later identified Hamadi as having beaten the tied-up Stethem. According to testimony at Hamadi's trial, when Stethem complained about his bonds, Hamadi responded: "Let the pig suffer."

"The United States had sought Hamadi's extradition when he was caught in January 1987 as he went through customs at Frankfurt Airport with liquid explosives in his luggage. The Germans, who have no death penalty, insisted on prosecuting him. A German court convicted him of both the hijacking and of U.S. Navy diver Robert Dean Stethem's death."

I'm not sure we're allowed to do that anymore. Pity.

I should have included this line:
"The plane's flight engineer testified at the 1989 trial that Hamadi bragged he had killed Stethem."

I think it is high time that we pull out all U.S. military bases in western Europe (with the exception of England). The people in old Europe can pay for their own national defense. It is obvious that they are not on our side.

The topic here is that Germany cravenly exchanged this killer for Susanne Osthoff...unless this Hammadi guy is now our double agent and Germany just did that was necessary to keep his cover now that he may soon be mixing with other high-level terrorists.

Today, people can be double agents without knowing it because of technology. I won't speculate further on how.

What a completely ridiculous statement.

They made a deal for a German hostage. Period. Worse, they lied about it.

It may be better that he is now free.

He can now be located and liquefied on sight, preferably in some third world poophole.

His head should be found on a pike in front of his village, and the rest of his carcass could be tossed to a pack of stray dogs in town. Too bad there is no Mr. Wu..

Our great friends the germans. Be a hard sell getting me to purchase anything from germany or france forever. These two will sell their souls for a little coin.
