DRUDGE FLASHBACK: DEM LEADER HARRY REID ALL SMILES AT PATRIOT ACT SIGNING
The Drudge Report ^ | December 20, 2005

Posted on 12/20/2005 8:06:07 AM PST by jdm

THE DRUDGE REPORT has uncovered a photograph of President Bush signing the Patriot Act in the East Room of the White House on October 26, 2001. And standing over the President’s shoulder with a smile on his face is Democratic Senate Minority Harry Reid (D-NV)! Reid is currently leading efforts in the Senate to block the renewal of the Patriot Act.

After Reid successfully prevented the Patriot Act’s renewal late last week the Senator attended a Democrat political rally and proudly declared, “We killed the Patriot Act.”

One Republican strategist familiar with the photo said, “Democrats think they can regain the majority? Not a chance if they continue to put politics above what’s best for the country. Harry Reid is making a colossal miscalculation, but it's not the first time and thankfully for us, probably not the last.”

Put your head on my shoulder,
Hold me in your arms, ba---by
Squeeze me oh so tight , ba--by
Show me that you love me too.

Put your lips close to mine, dear,
Won't you kiss me once, ba--by?
Just a kiss goodnight, ba--by
Maybe you and I will fall in love.
People say love's a game
A game you just can't win.
If there's a way, I'll find it someday,
And then this fool will rush in,

Put your head on my shoulder,
Hold me in your arms, ba--by
Squeeze me oh so tight, show me.
Put your head on my shoulder.

Drudge (this time) has nailed Reid's butt to the wall. Too bad only a small percentage of Americans have enough interest in their future to really learn what is behind the news the MSM spoon feeds them.

Harry Reid also vote for S 1510 giving the POTUS the authority to order NSA wire-taps.

Harry Reid also voted FOR S.2845, a bill to reform the intelligence community and the intelligence and intelligence-related activities of the United States Government, and for other purposes which amended the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978.

"So that should mean they automatically approve of it again? Example for you. I buy a car with no research, no discussions, etc. I realize two years later the car is a lemon. I should be forced to buy my next car in the same fashion because I was stupid enough to do it one time?"

No. But you should be fired from the car buying business for being so moronic not to do your homework the first time.

Diddle, diddle dumbling, mumbling Reid
Gets to his camera-ops with greatest speed.
One smile on
That is faked, indeed,
Then rolls along like a tumbling weed

This is not a good analogy. What this shows is that Democrats can't be trusted. They don't care about anything but politics. If this was so serious to them, it was their duty to investigate fully at the time. Not just sign it because it was popular then. What kind of policy makers do you want in power?

That was also on October 26, 2001, about a month and a half after 9/11. The Democrats were tripping over themselves to show support for the President back then, because the polls told them to.

As do Republicans. They are nothing if not everything about politics. You may not can see it if you support them. But they are just as much about politics as the Democrats are

If this was so serious to them, it was their duty to investigate fully at the time. Not just sign it because it was popular then.

Why not? That's what many of the Republicans did at the time

What kind of policy makers do you want in power?

How about those that look at the Constitution as something other than a document that can be twisted as much as you need to fit your political agenda?
