Do my tax dollars pay for his so called "rotting in prison"....where do the profits go for his books ? Will he be honored by oscar winner Jamie Foxx? Will the Nobel Peace prize be bestowed upon him? Just a few questions as to his punishment of time served....

I don't think anyone is celebrating. I think you are just picking up on the anticipation of another travesty of justice being served up from our Californian countrymen.

thank you.....unless he's changed his mind....I heard earlier on Fox that Arnold will not be doing this publicly himself. If he does, imo, it will be to grant clemency. I can't imagine him waiting until the 'last moment' to go on air himself and say no. jmo

100 replies and still no announcement? Shall we start a thread for the end of the world?

LOL typical Fox News..breathlessly announce that the statement is coming soon, then you wait forever.

"If you have kids, I feel badly for them. Their dad would not kill someone breaking in their home to protect them? Do they know that? If they did, I doubt that they would feel very secure at night."

As I have said, I spoke too briefly. I consider immediate self-defense or defense of others to be justification for killing. I apologize for my overly brief statement, which was really only about capital punishment by the state.

I retain my objection to capital punishment by the state. I do not believe that the state has that right. Sorry, but that's my belief.

I carry a glock myself. I can see the need to use force, even deadly force in self defense and war. But he is in a cage, unarmed. Let hime rot in it, only to leave to chop cotton, or some other similar hard labor. And that until his dying day.

"Society has a responsibility to punish those who murder. that punishment, in my opinion, should be a lifetime of imprisonment, so that they might consider the error of their ways."

Who is to say that taking a life is immoral? Isn't it just survival of the fittest? Laws are just manmade rules to control society without God it seems to me. Why should I be punished for doing what comes naturally? I find it hard to believe in right and wrong without some reference point.

Funny, he maintains his innocence; but the MSM pushes his "rehabilitation"; which is it? Wouldn't a contrite man who confesses his wrongs be a better candidate? Sounds as if he's learned little...

Yup... And get ready for him to be posthumously awarded the Nobel Prize too, if Arnold doesn't cave. Anything to embarrass Uncle Sam.

I think the death penalty is overused.

There's been about 400,000 murders in the U.S. since the death penalty was reaffirmed a quarter century ago. Since then we've executed only 1,000 murderers. By what calculation do you think that the death penalty is somehow overused?

Bring back the prison work farms. It worked well for TX for many years. It was a harsh punishment and actually made a small profit for the state.
