John Kerry Blames Rush Limbaugh for Iraq Blooper

Failed presidential candidate John Kerry blamed top conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh Friday morning for the uproar over his claim that U.S. troops were terrorizing Iraqi women and children.

"You know, the only people who are trying to make anything out of that, to be honest with you, are Rush Limbaugh and a few people on the right," Kerry told radio host Don Imus.

On Sunday Kerry told CBS's "Face the Nation" that there was "no reason ... that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the - of - the historical customs, religious customs - Iraqis should be doing that."

Asked if he meant to say that American soldiers were guilty of terrorism, Kerry claimed: "Obviously not."

What he meant to say, he insisted, was: "After three years, Iraqis ought to be capable of searching a home ... It's inexplicable that when the biggest killers in Iraq are suicide bombers and IEDs, improvised explosive devices, that we're still on the front lines going into homes and going out in the dead of night. And it scares people."

The one-time top Democrat said that he'd like to see U.S. troops redeployed "in a way that accomplishes the goal but does it without needlessly putting troops at risk and incurring greater difficulties in feeding the insurgency."

Citing a year-old Washington Post report that claimed Iraqis resented home searches by U.S. troops, Kerry said his "terrorizing" comment was meant to be constructive.

"That resentment hurts our soldiers," he told Imus. "I'm trying to help our soldiers. We all are."

With help like Kerry gives, who needs enemies?

And just how pray tell would Kerry accomplish this redeployment? As for the second part of his statement, does it even make sense? And did Im-ass let him skate with these platitudinous responses?

2008... He ran unopposed in 2002 and the Senate Republican leadership - surprise! surprise! - did not make him resign his Senate seat in his '04 presidential run. In contrast to how the Senate Dems treated Bob Dole I might add.....

When does Kerry's Senate term expire?

He's from Taxachusetts, they couldn't elect anyone except Kerry and Kennedy if they tried. How long have those two been in office? 70+ years combined? Sheesh. There has to be something in the water...

John Freekin Kerry is a professional dufus

My observation of longstanding. I am appalled that anyone took his presidential run seriously. I guess the Dems were desperate to nominate a "War Hero" so he got the nod.

He says he is trying to help our soldiers.

He knows he is not, nor does he want to. He despises our military. And I expect that they despise him, just like they dispise billy klinton and his anti-military wife in name only, hitlery.

Kerry is hurting our soldiers by trying to get our fellow Americans to believe that our President is inept as a commander in chief and by attempting to get our precious troops to believe this, too.

This buffoon with the big hair, the botox 'look', the fancy suits and the orange tan is so inept and so cowardly, so willing to give our enemy encouragement and soundbites and to smear our military's commander in chief that you ca smell his satisfaction over his verbal betrayals right through the TV screen.

Kerry is like an elementary child who has not learned that unfairly smearing others only makes you, yourself, look bad. Because he is supposed to be a mature man, Kerry looks more than bad...he looks small. Really small.

I cannot think of an American male on the political scene less worthy to lead our military than this buffoon. We'd lose our military under such a pinhead.

He thinks he knows more than the generals and colonels, etc., that are in the line of fire right now...changing strategy's at a moment's notice, sometimes daily...to fight this horrific war against cowards who blow up anything and anyone. Wild-men who know no rules and strike from anywhere, regardless of danger to civilians.

Kerry is demonstrating daily now exactly how sick he is...and it is scary to think that this man who so trashes our troops ran for the office of President. He should not even be a senator.

His best calling seems to be an amazing ability to marry really rich women. He should stick with that. And combing his hair, of course.
