A modern multiple fence system wouldn't hurt either.

Doesn't answer my question. Are they not vigilantes?

President Bush today will call for a crackdown on illegal immigration... the president will also renew his call for a program to allow Mexicans who have already entered the U.S. illegally to remain here for up to six years. That initiative has long angered conservatives who equate it with amnesty.

The President is talking out both sides of his mouth. Cracking down on illegal immigration and offering amnesty are two conflicting policies. What Bush really wants is to continue a policy of open borders that plays to the Hispanic voters and leaves US businesses with endless cheap labor.

Letting illegals stay is NOT cracking down on illegal immigration. More empty, insulting talk.

Should President Bush push this amnesty
for illegals? It will not bode well for
the Republican party should he choose
to do so. The Republican party has to make
a decision and 89 percent of Americans are not
going to be denied on the illegal issue.
Piss off 89 percent of the American public
and woe be unto he/she or the party having
done such.

I hope President Bush isn't going to be
"Stuck on Stupid" for a host of reasons
on this issue.

With the six year Guest Worker plan, the Bush Administration asks us to believe that a Democrat administration that will possibly succeed Bush's will forcibly deport those illegally extending their stay. This while at present laws are not enforced at all against those here entirely illegally.

Bush seeks to mollify and hoodwink conservatives through more elaborate and concerted bamboozling. They still don't understand that we are onto them.

"I voted for cracking down on illegal immigration before I voted for amnesty."

Sounds like the guy we DIDN'T want to be President last November.

vig·i·lan·te Audio pronunciation of "Vigilante" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (vj-lnt) n. 1. One who takes or advocates the taking of law enforcement into one's own hands...

As per Minuteman SOP we have no law enforcement capabilities... our only job is to observe the border and report an illegals that cross the border to the Border Patrol.. The other part of of what minutemen do is do protest at day labor sites to protest the hiring of illegal aliens. We work within the boundaries of the law.

well according to Cambridge Online dict you are correct :
Definition
vigilante
noun [C]
a person who tries in an unofficial way to prevent crime, or to catch and punish someone who has committed a crime, especially because they do not think that official organizations, such as the police, are controlling crime effectively. Vigilantes usually join together to form groups.

Still is todays pc vernacular it is used as a very dirty word , on the par of saying one is KKK . He said other negative things about they than the V word alone .
What he said played right into the sick rationale of the wide open borders people that would like to see the West rejoin Mexico . It wasn't right.

Walk the walk?

There is no path here.

I personally call for a crackdown on murderers.

But out of sympathy, if you are out there somewhere and have committed a murder, we'll let ya go this time.

This makes NO SENSE at all.

Build it here, build it NOW!

Coming to an American neighborhood near you, thanks to a lack of border security and immigration enforcement:

I don't know what he said, I'm sorry. But Minutemen are vigelantes... in my opinion, they are necessary, and I'm glad for them.

No, they are not vigilantes.

Vigilantes take the law into their own hands.

The Minutemen's SOP is simply to observe and report.

And that is exactly what they have done.

Both you and the President owe them an apology.

Vigilantes are persons who illegally take the law into their own hands. They become judge, jury and executioner. These people are not breaking the law. They are being good citizens by watching for crime and reporting it to the appropriate authorities like we all do. They are a nation wide citizen watch group. Big difference.
