Greetings!

There are many things for me to be giving thanks for this year. It was an interesting year, 2005 was, for me as well as for everyone else.

Yes, there were troubling times, from earthquakes to tsunamis and hurricanes. Also political troubles as well. All set to bring us down to the depths of depression and defeat.

At least it would if we let it!

So this year I decided to say to those demons of depression “Go away!” and ask God to enter and take over. But, first I need to take some time out to thank Him for the blessings overlooked because of the negative stuff that went on.

1. I thank You, My Lord God, that we were given 4 more years of a decent and good man in the Oval Office.
   
   
2. I thank You, My Lord God, that I was blessed with a year of health and a year more of life.
   
   
3. I thank You, My Lord God, for my family, and for their continued good health and prosperity. For their successful surgeries, and their new jobs as well as new lives with marriages, and parenthood for my nephews and nieces.
   
   
4. I thank You, My Lord God, for a wonderful mother and father.
   
   
5. May You continue to bless and protect all my relatives and friends as well as the USA and President Bush and his family.

Now, those are just a few of my "Thank You's” ; I thought I’d ask you to add some of yours.

If you can hold someone’s hand, hug them, or even touch them on the shoulder... You are blessed because you can offer healing touch.

If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you, and furthermore... You are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all.

Have a good day, count your blessings, and pass this along to remind everyone else how blessed we all are.

Yes, my Grandfather died Thanksgiving day 1956, he lived long enough to see his first grandson (me) he was only 48, heart attack got him.

My GrandMother will be 99 this Thanksgiving, God Bless her.
Can you imagine, 99 years on this earth.?.

Gotta run, have to work and try to beat the snow.

Good morning, sistah! You always say the nicest things. I'm glad you like the borders and graphics. Pip has a way with words, doesn't she? It's fun to doll them up. :)

I need to visit with you about December, and read your mail about your nephew. So glad that it looks like only one more procedure instead of two more to get rid of the clot in his leg. He'll be home for Thanksgiving - that is a blessing!

I am grateful for being born an American
I am grateful for my friends and family
I am grateful for my darling doggie companion, Maddie
I am grateful that the Lord gave me an appreciation of His creation so a simple walk in the woods is a time of refreshing, wonder & joy
I am grateful to see, walk/run, hear and for good health
I am grateful for a job, food to eat, clothes to wear and a nice home to live in
And I am grateful that the term is almost over with!!!!

P.S. I am grateful for good looking, conservative Godly masculine men too!

Prayers for Matthew..

Good Morning Dutchess,
I have and will continue prayers for Matthew. He's going through so much. I hope he can go home to recover and enjoy eating a lot of turkey and mashed potatoes with all his loved ones.

I have a similar story but the grandfather was my 48 year old husband, his first grandson was 2 months old.He had a heart attack just before my son's birthday..and was buried just after..

My son this past year has had quadruple bypass surgery and is doing great..Everyday I should remember to praise God that he did not ignore shortness of breath,that it sent him to the doctor..

Praise God he talked to my son in law about his tests after he went home to await surgery , who promptly insisted he immediately go the hospital instead of staying home to wait on the surgeon..because of the 98% blockage he had in one artery and his symptoms..My SIL sells equipment used in heart surgery and has a lot of knowledge..He has stood by in many a surgery to monitor equipment..
It all worked together for the saving of a most precious life.
I am indeed thankful.
