CNN MARKS CHENEY: NETWORK FLASHES 'X' OVER VP'S FACE DURING LIVE SPEECH

At 11:04:45 AM ET Monday CNN was airing Vice President Dick Cheney's speech live from the American Enterprise Institute in Washington -- when a large black 'X' repeatedly flashed over the vice president's face!
The 'X' over Cheney's face appeared each time less than a second, creating an odd subliminal effect.
As this DRUDGE REPORT screen capture reveals, while one 'X' flashed over Cheney's face CNN ran a headline at the bottom of its screen: "CHENEY: I DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS WRONG TO CRITICIZE."
One top White House source expressed concern about what was aired over CNN.
"Is someone in Atlanta trying to tell us something?"
A CNN spokesman did not return repeated calls late Monday night.

When the First Amendment was conceived dueling was both legal and common.

The thing to do is to highlight the differences between that frame and one near it without the X.

You're right. We should flood them with emails, phone calls, faxes, etc., etc.
Maybe we can crash the web site if enough people do it.
reverse the image and negativize it. I think with color changes the script will be readable. Radio backwards looks correct.

Oh, so you finally figured that out? He was born a POS. When he first started with Vannitty about 10 years ago, his tie was upside down, his eye-brows were F'ed-up, his glasses were 45 degrees out of horizontal. Colmes is a flipping fool. Hannity is no genius either. We rarely ever watch their bilge.
The area you have circled says, "black" earlier in this thread someone said they thought it said fade to black.

Google "fade to black" and all sorts of interesting things show up.
It's unreadable, in its present form, I was thinking it may have been in reverse. It looked like Radio or Rapid.
Earlier posters said the very end looked like "(fade) to black."
Like I needed another reason to keep the Channel Block on CNN on all my home sets. But I guess it would not hurt to send another blistergram to my local cable provider telling them why.

There is some writing in black over the scroll but the techies here at FR have not figured out what it says. They have figured out the word, "black"
The white text is part of the chyron? Would the black print also be something that a chyron would do? And the X?
I saw it and immediately feared the worst: that it might be a signal to someone to do harm. But I have no evidence of that of course. It is just that we live in politically hateful times where some politicians seem like they would do anything... yes, anything, to hurt this administration and get themselves back into power.
