Your tagline reads: (Defeat Jean Schmidt and Paul Hackett in 2006!)

Please explain, at first blush this appears inconsistent with your screen name. :-)

It's quite consistent. Both Schmidt and Hackett are pathological tax-hikers and very rude in their public behavior. Schmidt voted for Bob Taft's huge Sales Tax increase, and also voted to raise our Gas Tax, while Hackett also voted for several tax increases as a Township Trustee. Hackett referred to our President as an SOB, and now Schmidt refers to a former Marine as a coward.

Hackett portrays himself as a moderate, independent hero who fights for the little guy while Schmidt portrays herself as a conservative who works well with others to get things done, yet once you learn a little about both of their records you see how pathetic they both are. Neither one of these two unethical tax-hikers belong in public service.

If it's over tax hikes, I'm with you. Do you have decent replacements lined up?

Rudeness back at the Dems doesn't always bother me...

If Murtha is the tough Marine that he claims to be, I'm sure he can handle name calling. I am NOT willing to put up with another Democratic "cut and run" foreign policy that John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, et al. supported. The Democratic Congress "cut and ran" from Viet Nam despite the Military Victories and were deafeningly quiet when millions of Cambodians died.

They were deafeningly quiet when fellow vets were spat at. They were deafeningly quiet when all hope slipped away from the Vietnamese as they desperately reached for the last US helicopter as it lifted away. Why do you begrudge a fellow Marine from speaking his mind when he says, "Cowards cut and run, Marines don't."?

You have a thin skin, get over it. Murtha will survive this "vicious" attack. Be happy that the Democrats lost the vote because millions of Iraqis would not survive the US' premature "cut and run" redeployment as proposed my the hero Murtha.

Everyone needs to give this woman a call, write a letter, send a fax or E-mail her. She done good. I would also singularly isolate J.D. hayworth for the idea, and Johnson for his closing comments as well as everyone of your Reps that spoke or voted in affirmative both times. If you have a Dem, thank them for supporting the troops, the WOT of which Iraq is part, and our President. LOL

I sent her an email earlier today. I'd also like to single out for commendation Mr. Gingrey, from Georgia, who moderated for our side all day. I'll get his name and email address later. Kingston (R-GA) was good, too. I think it will be Monday before the House Congressional Record will be updated with Friday's fireworks.

If you want to contact Representaive Ford and tell him what a cowardly @$$H**e he is see below:

rep.harold.ford.jr@mail.house.gov

Washington Office
P:(202) 225-3265
F: (202) 225-5663

The Federal Building
167 North Main, Suite #369
Memphis, Tennessee 38103

If you want to contact Representative Schmidt to encourage her:

Washington Office
P:(202) 225-3265
F: (202) 225-5663

Cincinnati Office
8044 Montgomery Rd. Suite 540
Cincinnati, OH 45236
(513)791-0381

If you want to contact that senile old phoney, diusgrace to his colors, and leftist tool Murtha:

District Office
P.O. Box 780
Johnstown, PA 15907
(814) 535-2642
(814) 539-6229 fax
12th District Toll-free:
(800) 289-2642

Washington Office:

(202) 225-2065
(202) 225-5709 fax

Unfortunately, both Murtha and Schmidt have an e-mail format which blocks out non-constituents.

Since Ford considers himself Presidental tinder, he has an open e-mail address.

By the way, when Ford tried to physically attack Ms. Schmidt, where were the Republican heroes to defend her?
What a bunch of craven eunuchs.

I defnitely will be sending Representative Ford an e-mail and calling the other two Representaives with my condemnation and support.

Remember, be polite - you too could be quoted in the New York Slimes - as if any of us care.

I have often wondered why conservatives pander to Harold Ford. I suppose they have some brain cells missing which might help to identity a leftist in disguise. It is the event described here which give us a glimpse into this particular politician. His good looks take him far, also.
As for Jean Schmidt..That little lady has shown more courage than anyone else has during this entire thing. I guarantee you, her factual remarks gave some relief to millions of Americans who are out here wondering why the Republicans do not fight back against all this persecution when they are a majority in government. Rep. Murtha will not lose sleep at night over the loss of my respect, but I will have to say, I agree totally with Ms Schmidt and regardless of this man's decorated past, he has relinquished any respect that many would hold because he has tried to use a method to disagree which hurts our nation and our President and our troups in a time of war. Our representatives do not have to lock step with any President on decisions made to secure the nation's safety..However, to use a method which could bring that nation down is unforgivable. His remarks invite terrorism back onto our shores, in my opinion. The other part of this is that the leftist media..NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, PBS, New York Times, Washington Post, etc., etc.,..
has pounded our President since it became clear he would appoint another Justice to the Supreme Court. They have only venom to pour out on him and his party in every newscast..I have listened for 3 weeks because I have been housebound, doing my own painting and wallpapering. It is totally disgusting..When the conservatives do get the opportunity to get national coverage in an fair forum, then they need to use it. That is what Rep. Schmidt had the courage to do. God bless her! She is very admired today by many who did not know she existed before. She is a patriot, and, I look for her to do many more great things in the future now that she is famous for her courage.

What would the situation in the House of Representatives be like should the democrats ever stumble into the majority again?

Locally it looks like the democrats are going to run a retired colonel, Mike Weaver, against Ron Lewis. Weaver was the active duty adviser to the Kentucky National Guard during one of the largest debacles to ever occur to the guard. Officers were not-retained during a SRB (selective retention board), which Weaver chaired, if they had voiced opposition to being coerced into contributing to the campaign of gubernatorial candidate, and then governor, Bereton Jones. The Kentucky Adjutant General under Jones, Robert Dezarn, went to federal prison over this, but Weaver remained free. I hope someone digs up the dirt on scum like him.

The Democrats have been aiding the enemy since the Civil War

Who are YOU to call the Confederates "the enemy"? The southern states had just as much of a God-given right to secede from the Union & form their own government in 1861 that the original colonies had to secede from the British enpire in 1776.

send a check for her re-election campaign. Anyone have an address for that?

Send it: NY Times, Attn: Re-ellection fund, Rep. Jean Schmidt(R) Ohio.

I would not make it a big one though as The slimes could siphon it or trash it.

Jean Schmidt applied the proverbial 2 x 4 against the RATS' heads, something that was needed in the circumstances.

I have no problem with what she said.
