TexasCowboy was called home last night.
Please Add your prayers.
Don't ya just love it? !!
That he did....that he did!!
Prayers for the loved ones till they re-unite!
Happy trails to you until we meet again. Happy trails to you, keep smilin' until then. Who cares about the clouds when we're together? Just sing a song and bring the sunny weather. Happy trails to you 'till we meet again.
Damn. He was a good man. My deepest sympathies to his Family & Friends.
I guess we all knew this was coming, but it's still not easy to take. One thing I know for sure: El Roy knows the Lord, and we'll meet again.
Oh, my heart. I am so sorry to all of his family who are hurting. You will all be in my prayers...especially you, COB.
I will never forget the compassion of this man-- this man with the gruff exterior and the heart that melted at the site of little babies. He made a difference in the life of at least one baby that we know about, and he is now holding and playing with all the babies in heaven. I am saddened for his loss, or more appropriately OUR loss. But I am overjoyed to know that Texas Cowboy's body is free from pain, struggling no more, and that he is resting his head on Jesus' lap. We have all been better for knowing him.
Anyone who says FR is a place full of hatred and right-wing-nuts never read TC's posts. To me, Texas Cowboy IS Free Republic.
Farewell my FRiend.....
I was just thinking of TC tonight! Wondering how he was doing. Now he's home...our real home.
Because I could not stop for Death,
He kindly stopped for me.

Oh my gosh, I just saw this. I am so sorry and so sad. God rest his soul and prayers for Faith and all of his family and the family of freepers who loved him.
He now walks with God.
Probably shoots with him too.
Prayers sent.
Well now it's done and you've gone on over. I'm glad we met. I'm glad you liked the ham hocs and collard greens and corn bread. I enjoyed our quiet talks while your 'roommate' rested up. I enjoyed watching you rest and the smile when you woke up and realized you still had company. I loved our research project those years ago. It was hard for to put down wasnt' it. Maybe now Chief will let you know what really happened. Gosh COB though I knew it was coming it still hurts like the dickens. You just take care and I'll be seeing you around.
Prayers for comfort and strength for Faith and Joel.
Oh...
Oh no........
Good bye Brave Marine...
And may God welcome you home..
My heart hurts..

I am heartbroken, especially for those of you who knew him well and loved him so much, like little Logan.
Nancy, I remember all the light hearted bantering over Logan.
I remember when Logan WAS not much bigger than a termite, and he was having his hernia repair, when TC Freepmailed me with his concerns. He loved that little boy so much. I am grateful that I was able to ease his mind at that time.
Well, he's with God now .. he is healed, and, hard as it is, we must rejoice for him.... But he will be missed.
Thank you all for the pings... I just came home from a celebration of a 105th anniversary of a local Baptist church whose members are "of color".
It was very moving, and the Holy Spirit was very much felt.
How fitting that I should come to this forum and learn that our beloved TC is partaking in the glory.

"Maybe now Chief will let you know what really happened."
I had the same thought.
So sad. Glad that his suffering is over but he will surely be missed.
Farewell friend.
Flights of angels speed thee to thy rest.
This is sad news, indeed. I always thought that one day I'd be able to meet him since I am also a Houstonian. Unfortunately, that day never came. But I know I'll be able to meet him in Heaven, and I won't need an introduction!
I'm so sorry you have lost your friend. Please accept my heartfelt sympathies.
P.S. Another Houstonian I hoped to meet but never got the chance was CHIEF negotiator. My loss in both cases. :(
May our Texas Cowboy rest in God's peace.
Prayers and condolences....
