WASHINGTON (AP) - Two crucial pillars of President Bush's public support - perceptions of his honesty and faith in his ability to fight terrorism - have slipped to their lowest point in the AP-Ipsos poll.
While the CIA leak investigation, the mishandling of Hurricane Katrina and high energy costs have all taken their toll, the polling found the Iraq war at the core of Americans' displeasure with the president.
All of those concerns are cutting into traditional Bush strengths.

EXCELLENT ANALYSIS per usual.
In 2003, the Associated Press 'purchased' the Ipsos Reid/Cook Political Report so that it could 'manufacture' the polling data necessary to advance the leftist political agenda.
Any polling organization that routinely oversamples Democrats by double digits (at 50% and above no less) is beyond incompetent . . . actually, FRAUDULENT would seem to be a more accurate descriptor!
FYI: RASMUSSEN has put the President's JA rating at 44% for the last 2 days -- the HIGHEST in almost a month. More importantly, Rasmussen notes that the President's JA among veterans is over 60% (higher among those who have served/continue to serve in the all voluteer force!)!!
Funny, I keep hearing on FR about how the MSM are dead, powerless, not trusted...yet when we find that the people feel Bush isn't honest (and that's what I hear every day from the people around me), it's blamed on the MSM.
And rather than ask, "what can we do about the perceptions," the FR Ostrich Brigade wants to pretend that there's no trouble, and this is a great road we're on!
Sure makes a feller wonder!
"If you had half-a-brain you would have, at the very least, mentioned that the DNC and their Main Stream Media propaganda machine have been lying about Bush continuously for more than five years."
I didn't post that because I figured that everyone here probably knew that for a long time. Also, I don't appreciate being insulted.
You got that right, along with the rest of your post. Very insightful analysis, IMHO.
P.S., I thought that I posted "Barf Alert" on the title, but I guess either I screwed up, or something went wrong.

I don't appreciate anyone posting what could be interpreted to be an MSM push poll.

We all make mistakes.
"AP (the Democrats Attack Dog) can't prove President Bush lied about a single thing because he never did, so they massage "a poll" that says he lied."
Also, don't forget how they keep saying "Bush lied" over, and over, and over again. It's a perfect case of "The Big Lie". I.e., if you say something loud and long enough, people may well start believing you even if what you say is complete crap.
Politicians must lie by necessity. Machiavelli told the Prince to appear to be generous but really conserve the states wealth.
The problem with Bush is on the one hand his handlers are pushing a global strategy while on the other hand Bush appears to stand for America.
For example to establish world order we attacked Iraq because geographically it split the Islamic terror nexus in two. Divide and conquer. We can turn our attention to either Syria or Iran next. The weapons of mass destruction is a smoke screen. It's irrelevant and a stupid slogan of the left. The world order is driven by the financial lords who want to keep the flow of oil to fuel the economy.
Bush calls illegal migrants "temporary guest workers." I never heard criminals called this before. He says that they are doing the work that Americans don't want to do. What he is not saying is the rest of the sentence, at half the price that the illegals will do the work.
Yes. Bush is a liar. But the lies are not what the left says they are.
The worst crime being committed by Bush is the creation of Homeland Security. He is setting the grounds for a fascist state. Instead of securing the borders he is letting the criminals into the country so we can catch the fifth column. The fifth column should have been stopped when applying for visas. It should not have been created to spy on real Americans. The apparatus is now in place to do so.
I say this a one who vote twice for Bush. I've since quit the Republican Party. My next vote will go to most attractive conservative party on the scene in 2008. I don't see it as throwing away my vote. I just can't tell the difference between Democrats and Republicans any more. If Tancredo runs, I will give the Republicans one more chance.
'..no one ever polls me..'
exactly. I'd like to know EXACTLY who they poll.
"Is the sample not random, they ask the questions and then ask the demographics?"
Yep, the EXIT POLLERS (11/04) claimed to have 'randomly' sampled voters as well until, of course, they couldn't reconcile their data with actual election results.
What do you think happened? I challenge you to do the research necessary to answer this question. I also challenge you to do the research necessary to discover why many polling experts have determined that RELIABLE/VALID polling results (particularly on the national level) are virtually impossible to achieve in today's polling environment.
CIA leak? The traitors at the CIA are putting the nation at risk for the only perceived purpose of hurting the President's administration and he gets the blame? What's up with that?
I didn't know anything about the damn poll. I didn't know for sure just how many of the people polled were Democrats, and how many were Republicans. I suspected that it was a case of Democrat agitprop, so I posted it to find out if it was. I'm not some DU troll, if that's what people think.
The MSM has the wisdom of a new born and the vision of a still born
and
One of the most important lessons from Vietnam War is that you do not win a war by committing an army to war, you win by committing a nation to war.
With these two statements you've pretty well summed it up.
LOL!
Those same brainiacs will fail to see the humor in that.
