Residents from riot-torn suburbs were to march in Paris on Friday - Armistice Day, marking the end of the First World War - waving white handkerchiefs to call for an end to more than two weeks of violence.

President Jacques Chirac acknowledged on Thursday that France must confront the inequalities and discrimination that fuelled the unrest.

French Announce New Terror Alert Levels!

French government announced that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide." The only two higher levels in France are "Collaborate" and "Surrender". The raise was precipitated by a recent fire which destroyed France's white flag factory, thereby disabling its military.

Amazing. Why can't these socialists ever figure out that you get more of what you subsidize, and less of what you penalize? They're completely at sea. Go ahead, throw more money at them, Chirac. Reward the bad behavior, and then be shocked .... SHOCKED when the same thing happens again.

Here's a copy of an email joke that's been going around:

President Bush May Send Up To 5 Marines For French Assistance

President Bush has authorized the Joint Chiefs to begin drawing up a battle plan to pull France's ass out of the fire again. Facing an apparent overwhelming force of up to 400 pissed off teenagers Mr. Bush doubts France's ability to hold off the little piss ants. "Hell, if the last two world wars are any indication, I would expect France to surrender any day now", said Bush.

Joint Chiefs head, Gen. Peter Pace, warned the President that it might be necessary to send up to 5 marines to get things under control. The general admitted that 5 marines may be overkill but he wanted to get this thing under control within 24 hours of arriving on scene. He stated he was having a hard time finding even one marine to help those ungrateful bastards out for a third time but thought that he could persuade a few women marines to do the job before they went on pregnancy leave.

President Bush asked Gen. Pace to get our marines out of there as soon as possible after order was restored. He also reminded Gen. Pace to make sure the marines did not take soap, razors, or deodorant with them. The least they stand out the better.

President Jacques Chirac acknowledged on Thursday that France must confront the inequalities and discrimination that fuelled the unrest.

Chirac can begin by admitting that he and other anti-war folks are more racist than Bush, who took steps to show the world's oppressed Muslims that they could rule themselves, like the Iraqis are.

Chirac thought it was okay for the US to free millions of Christian Frenchmen during 2 World Wars, but Chirac didn't think it was all right for the US to free millions of Muslim Iraqis and Afghans.

I do not think it was a coincidence that the Paris riots began within 2 days of the official validation of the Iraq constitution.
The French Muslims have far less hope than the Iraq Muslims.

("We have put a lot of money into the suburbs over the past 20 years," Breton was quoted as saying by The Financial Times. "But obviously it wasn't enough. We need to work on how to create more jobs and growth in those areas.")

If all you have is a hammer, every problem starts looking like a nail. Socialists have been conditioned to throw money at problems and "create" jobs (i.e. government jobs - they're easy to create!). Predictably, that's the only solution they see once again.

In the very near future. France won't be able to do a damn thing without approval from the French Muslims...

There are just as many muslims of fighting age (under 30)as Frenchmen, and the tilt will worsen dramatically every year into the future.

Demographically, France is doomed. French retirees are not going to engage the muslim insurgents in street fighting.

And forget the French military: it is over 15% muslim, and untrusworthy.

Why not just tell the rioters to start a white flag manufacturing company. Heck, sales in France alone would get everyone in France out of poverty.

"We have put a lot of money into the suburbs over the past 20 years," Breton was quoted as saying by The Financial Times. "But obviously it wasn't enough. We need to work on how to create more jobs and growth in those areas."

Once again, the classic liberal response is to throw more money at the problem. Their cluelessness is astounding. And you know that there won't be any relaxing of the bureaucratic red tape that stifles almost all incentives to start up new businesses. At least every new business that isn't started up is a business that won't be torched during the next riot.

I read it. I don't believe it ... okay I do. It funny how easily headlines read both France and white flags in the same sentance. Are there undoctored photos of this somewhere?

8 November 2005 - Russian Chief Rabbi: French-style riots possible in Russia if political correctness not abandoned

Finally - someone with the guts to tell it like it is.

I'll go a step farther - French-style riots could happen in the US if we continue along the path of political correctness.

A must-read article!

MOSCOW. Nov 8 (Interfax) - Russia's Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar talked about the danger of a replay in Russia of the riots that are currently sweeping France if the authorities and society do not abandon inappropriately understood political correctness and do not properly use the law in dealing with rioting vandals.

"Such events can happen in any country, including in this country, if, God forbid, the authorities and public repeat the mistake that was made in France and look for reasons to justify people breaking the law," Lazar told Interfax on Tuesday.

The rabbi suggested that the Russian law enforcement and security agencies drew the right conclusions after the Beslan school siege and did not allow a repeat of the tragedy in Nalchik. "In other words, the police and special services proved that they can learn from mistakes and not repeat them. But they can do little without the support of the entire society. But society in general, unfortunately, still has to learn a lesson from its mistakes. You can still hear calls to understand terrorists and vandals," Lazar said.

Lazar rejected appeals that criminals should be treated more humanely. Describing democracy as the best system of organization of public affairs, Lazar at the same time noted that "a weak democracy, which cannot defend the supremacy of the law, turns into its opposite."

"Politically correct authorities and media in many countries, who are calling for understanding in dealing with vandals, engage into negotiations with them, and make concessions, are digging the grave of democracy," he said.

Lazar also recalled that Jewish organizations have long been warning about possible rioting in France. va md 1839 081105 MSK
