Don't forget the burning of schools and churches reported in some areas... As far as the people injured - an Asian female reporter, 3 female police officers, a disabled woman set on fire, and a 13 month old child are among them.

That doesn't make sense...Muslims have the utmost respect for women...

Yea, it really hurt the young man being beaten with a shoe string or maybe it was a tongue lashing.

I've said it once and I'll say it again.
The two people we hate the most (Frenchies and muslims) are finally together in one place. How about a little target practice? Or maybe a nuke that 'accidentally' went off course?

RWC1:
Actually the Romans got bored with it, and cut it loose. Then there were the Merovignan kings who were incest mongers. They were so interested in what they were doing that, they had a Viking invasion in the North-West creating Normandy, Plus were usurped by Charlemagne's grandaddy. Then the French Vikings (Starting with the invader, Duke Rollo Rangvarsson, ancestor of of William I of England) and the English Vikings (King Hartecanute, e.g.) had a dispute which led to, the French Vikings (Norsemen with French wives) taking over the English Vikings, and thus becoming the English Vikings, who THEN cut France loose after a couple of hundred years, after Joan of Arc had them spooked...

So you see the only Frenchman that gets out of the Stuck on Surrender mode are the ones who aren't really French, like Interior Minister Sarkozy, whose father was a Hungarian.

Who to send? I would like to propose we send John Kerry over to direct their efforts at remaining an independent nation

This is a fantastic idea!!! Didn't kerry run on His war record? Didn't he say That Bush was doing it wrong???? well

Send Kerry over to france and let him Prove that he is right!!! let him Have full controll so that there will be no excuse, When the islamo-facists storm the bastille, and kerry escapes from the rooftop ala Vietnam...he can Blame it on.....blame it on...heck thats just it! he cant blame it on anyone!!! In fact This should be the talking points of every Conservative talkshow for weeks!!!!

If the left Media, and Bush haters are right...John F. Kerry

should be able to go over there and have a little "Camp David" with the Rioters...and Voila! instant Peace.

Oui???

You may not believe this, but I now understand the frogs a bit better... Earlier today, I looked up the history of their flag:

History of French Flags... (excerpts)

[ From http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/fr~mon.html#pwe ]

Ensigns of the King's vessels

White ensign

[Plain white ensign]by Pierre Gay

[ I had to put a non-existant border around it to make it show up... AFPhys ]

This flag is shown on Danckert's flag chart [ca.1700] [dan05], as #82, labelled 'Franse Witte Vlag' - French white flag.

[ From http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/fr_mon.html  about France Flag history ]

... Anyway, Dauphin Charles had to find an emblem of his own. In 1422, when Charles VI died, he became Charles VII, adopted a white cross as emblem and a white flag as banner. Joan of Arc's famous banner was white with religious figures embroidered on it. Thereafter the three parties to the civil wars of 1420-36 are distinguished by the cross: white for the French, red for the English and red saltire for the Burgundians.

The white flag itself was the flag of commanding officers, such as colonel generals, and later colonels. In particular, it was the flag of the kKing when he was with the troops. ......

[ From http://www.acadian.org/flags.html ]

French [flag with fleur-de-lis shown here. The fleur-de-lis were optional]

Prior to the French Revolution, there was no national flag which represented France. A variety of flags were used by troops, different types of ships and for other purposes. From 1590-1790 this flag is one of four that was used on warships and fortresses. The plain white flag, known as the Bourbon Banner, and this white flag with three golden fleurs-de-lis, a white flag with many fleurs-de-lis, or a white flag with many fleurs-de-lis with the arms of France in the center. The simpler designs such as this were used in ordinary circumstances and it is believed that the [simply] white flag of France flew over all or most of the French forts and settlements in America.

I don't think I have much more to add to this little bit of history.

Perhaps this all 'splains itself...

No wonder the frogs have such trouble with this stuff... It's buried more deeply in their psyches than I realized.

Just when I think the french can't get any stupider or display any more cowardice. Heaven forbid they shoot any of the muslim extremists that have torched thousands of cars and dozens of buildings and killed people, and now suspending cops that had to beat some of the muslims to get them to submit. france is doomed. And we better not lift a finger to help them this time. They WANT to be defeated.

LOL. Oh man, I am in so much trouble on this thread and I'm just digging myself deeper and deeper.

So, here is my definitive reply: Stop the riots by any force necessary dammit! That's all I'm saying—no more, no less.

(If I keep going this way, I'm going to end up in the wrong neighborhood. It just goes to show that the road to hell is paved with good intentions.)

To the New Yorkers here: I thought New York (the city) had already thrown their lot with the leftists around the late 1940s. I once read a book about Giuliani and the author (an American liberal) claims Giuliani killed off the main thrusts of liberalism which had been in power in NYC for over 50 years. In otehr words, to them the specific liberal odeas and policies may remain, but the unifying ideology is dead.

When we extrapolate the policies back to the 1950s, it seems to me once the libs came in power in 1950 or so the first few years may seem business as usual (or may be deceptively better). But then the rot came about 10 years after the liberals came in power. I'm not too familiar with policies and history of NYC from 1930 to 1970 so I'm just hypothesizing about what happened. Is that hypothesis justified by what actually happened during at that time?

Thanks in advance.
