Yep, I was wrong. I get the line between SB and Riverside mixed up out there...
I justed check my Cal map in Microsoft's "Streets & Trips" software and Redlands is about 3 miles north of the Riverside county line in San Bernadino county. Close but no biscuit on this attempt...lol.
If it passes, it will be thrown out by the Ninth Circuit, which does the liberals' bidding. Eventually the U.S. Supreme Court might disagree, but in the meantime, the unions will have had two more years to run this state into the ground.
I think all this is moot, however. The trend line for 75 tonight has been straight down.
Amen!
re: conservatives much less republicans not turning out when so much was at stake, the question that remains to be answered is why indeed. aren't there like 5 of 5.5 million registered?
I looked it up -- it's SB...
The party tried to get McClintock to drop, but he wouldn't do it. Wasn't much they could do, short of pulling something illegal. They did get Simon and Uberroth to pull out.
72% of precincts reporting statewide. 50.9% vote no on 73. 50.7% vote no on 75. Lotsa votes yet to be counted from libbie strongholds. This is starting to look like a bloodbath.
In the long run Bill, it's still best to explain what your values are, promote them and implement them.
If we don't talk about fiscal conservancy who will? If we don't impose fiscal conservancy who will? If we don't promote these things, how can we stand up on election day and say that we are any different than the democrats? And if we can't proclaim the issues that are ours, on what basis do we seek to win elections?
Two Democrats won election today claiming to be fiscal conservatives. They are two tax and spend democrats, but our people haven't promoted or implemented fiscal conservancy, so the democrats were able to lie and win.
This is but one example of why it is so vitally important to stick to our values, promote our values and implement those values.
Spending...
Land grabs...
Non enforcement of our nation's laws...
Ignorance of Constitutional issues...
Transfers of our top secrets to China...
The dismantling of our military...
The adoption of one military theater level or readiness...
I could go on, but we have utterly failed on these vitally important issues. How then can we claim to be better than democrats on them. We open the door, and they claim these issues as their own and the public is completely baffled as to who is telling the truth.
We have essentially committed political suicide, as it applies to our core values. We're going to pay for this.
We lost two state houses today. What will we lose next fall? If we don't get our act together, we could lose one hell of a lot, and it won't be because we didn't unify behind bad anti-conservative policies.
73 and 75 are now down by over 1 point. I think I will call it a [sad] night.
I am sorry to say that LA County is liberal...Slightly less than San Francisco...
LA County is huge...But, there are not many GOP members of Congress in the area. (Drier, McKeon, and Miller. I think Dana Rochabacher represents a small piece of LA County.) Four isn't too many.
Yes, we are doomed. OC's mostly in, Alameda is still only 30% reporting, LA mostly unreported.
Game over.
A sad day for us and for California.
Something funny with the Alameda numbers. It's showing only 30% of the precincts have reported, but turnout at this pooint is 27%. Doesn't that work out to near 80% of the registered voters coming out when all the precincts come home?? Sound fishy
Bravo -- well said.
You're always such a optomist...lol, especially about Iraq.
