WHAT: Press Conference
Free Republic to Speak About MD4BUSH and the Washington Post
Newspaper Involved in Scandal that Goes Beyond Governors Race and Maryland Politics
WHEN: Friday, Nov. 4, 9:30 A.M.
WHERE: 1150 15TH ST., N.W., Washington, D.C., The Sidewalk in front of The Washington Post Bldg.
DETAILS:
FreeRepublic.com, an independent conservative news and activism Web site, will hold a press conference in front of the Washington Post building in downtown Washington, D.C. at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 4.
FreeRepublic.com, one of the most popular and influential political Web sites, was used by a poster at the forum with the screen name MD4BUSH to play a political dirty trick on another FreeRepublic.com poster. The dirty trick breached the confidentiality of the poster with the screen name NCPAC.
The apparent aim of the dirty trick was to clear the path for Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley to run for Maryland governor while hurting the sitting Governor, Bob Ehrlich, who is running for re-election.
The Washington Post played a key role in the furtherance of this dirty trick. Their role in this scandal has ramifications that go beyond Maryland politics and is reminiscent of Watergate, but with the players' roles reversed.

"one thread I read that Jim and the moderators are Zotting up to 200 trolls per day!"
That rumor is not true and is preposterously inaccurate.
Jimrob said the number is around 20-25/day, and higher during key events.

That rumor is not true and is preposterously inaccurate. What about the rumor that certain freepers sprout tails and horns at midnight?

That number is much more in line with what I would expect. The 200 number appeared on one of the MD4BUSH threads, IIRC.

Cool! I wonder if it will get any television coverage.
I'd expect some of the Baltimore TV stations to be there, especially WBAL, whose reporters have been all over this story from day 1.
What I'm wondering is whether the Washington Post strikes first with another article tonight.
Pass the popcorn.
