just breaking!!!!!!!!
ROFLMAO.........you are a fraud:
That is your EXACT post to me this very day, dimbulb.
"It's more like 95% that she'll be withdrawn. Common sense tells you as much."--Deo et Patria
"So, if she's not withdrawn, will you admit to not having any common sense?"--Howlin
What say you now, Howlin? Just checking in.
That would mean that every dictionary is a Communist book. It would mean that everyone who ever called the 1930's ultra-right isolationist Hitler supporters in the U.S. reactionaries would be "Communists." It would mean that anyone who called John Birchers what they are, which is Right-wing reactionaries, would be "Communists."
I am a small 'r' republican with small 'l' libertarian leanings. Always have been. Always will be.
Yes I am....and I'm not afraid to admit it.
I'm thinking that it SHOULDN'T take him long to come out with the next nominee. Whomever was on his short list ( and second choice) should be sent up immediately. There is no time to lose.
Oh, spare us. You'd think she was some innocent bystander yanked off the street into a strange van and forced to accept a nomination to the Supreme Court. She's a politician. If you think for one second she didn't know what she was getting into, no offense intended, but that sounds really naive.
I'm sure she'll be crying all the way to her answering machine with a dozen book deals tossed at her feet. Oh yeah, then she'll be back at her her unimportant job as counsel to the leader of the free world.
Well, you have every reason to be proud; you not only stopped her nomination, you participated in the trashing of a good woman to make your point.
It must be a good day for you.
Some Republicans out there WANT to keep abortion as an national election issue.
Hang on, madconservative. I remember that first live thread well. There were people on that thread who said they were going to vote for Hillary because of the pick! That thread was crazy, partially because the battle lines had not been truly drawn yet.
That being said, I don't want to excuse any namecalling on that thread, but the guy who said he'd vote for HRC really set things off and got people saying all kinds of crazy things.
Like I've said before, I miss the days when dems and jihadists were the only enemy.
The Democrat senators are likely to weigh the nominee against their reelection hopes and will to power - and no doubt now perceive Bush as wounded, thus vulnerable. Therefore, I would fully expect them to beat Brown to a bloody pulp to convince their base that they are more powerful than Bush and the Republicans.
"..something I consider to be extremely valuable, and that is the Founder's vision of people from all walks of life going into public service to participate in governing ourselves."
That must be another one of those "penumbras" we here so much about...
Yes, and we'll know if they are sutable by the fact that they are from the "right crowd" and think the "right thoughts".
Amazing how sure so many on this thread are that Brown will accept a nomination. No room for the chance she may have widrawn her own name. Nope, it's Brown or time to get the rope.
Ann Coulter and the other pundits are in part, entertainers. In that vein, they will go over the top to be...entertaining.
I have but three letters in response: B.T.T.!
You are just as classless as Black Tooth....
There, BT...I found another, are you happy?
Pray for W and Our Troops
Boy, you said a mouthful there Buddy! We've both been around for a little while and know what knockdown dragouts we've had here.
Many Conservatives here such as I worked hard for Dubya's election knowing full well we didn't agree with his total platform. I, for one, was very open that I would fight against certain planks such as his immigration program. There were, however, three bedrock issues that I would allow absolutely NO room for him to back down on. They were:
1. Aggresively fight the War on Terror.
2. Lower taxes (permenant)
3. Nominations in the mold of Thomas and Scalia
I did trust Dubya on the Roberts appointment but had NONE left for Miers. Bush stepped on his crank with his Miers pick. Let's hope he regains his senses and selects a nominee we can ALL agree on.
Nam Vet
He will probably nominate Bill Clinton.
And if President Bush sends up AGAG....we will send him packing also.
Unless, of course, you think signing bills permitting abortion is conservative.
Meltdown alert!
Stand clear...they're gonna blow!
