TRANSCRIPT FROM TUCKER CARLSON SHOW:
Adding to the sexism, elitism, faith, and threat cards in the White House arsenal, comes the "far right" card.
Speaking in support of Harriet Miers on Tucker Carlson's MSNBC show last night was Brad Blakeman, described by Carlson as "a former deputy assistant to President Bush [who] shared an office with Harriet Miers for three years."
I'm posting the entire transcript of the Blakeman interview below. Go to the parts in bold to see the "far right" business. CARLSON: ...today one of the many questions regarding Harriet Miers has been answered, in part, anyway, in a questionnaire Miers filled out while running for the Dallas city council in 1989. She clearly indicated, or seemed to, that she's opposed to abortion, unless the mother's life was in danger.
Some conservatives are not satisfied with that, but one who appears to be, joins us now from Washington. He is Brad Blakeman. He's a former deputy assistant to President Bush. He shared an office with Harriet Miers for three years.
Mr. Blakeman, thanks for coming on. [SNIP]
BLAKEMAN: No. I think, Tucker, the president could have put forth Mother Teresa, and there were some on the far right that said, "Well, you know, she's not really religious enough for me."
CARLSON: That's totally not true. You know that that's not true.
BLAKEMAN: No, it is true. The fact of the matter is, the far right...
CARLSON: Hold on. Wait. Hold on. Slow down.
BLAKEMAN: The far right thinks that...
Actually that's not a half bad idea. But if you're going to do it, do it for all bills, etc. that come before Congress. Send 'em all back to their home states when they lose. With the bureaucracy established by the Republicrats over the past 140 years, do you honestly believe we would miss 537 political hacks if they weren't there?
We really need that graphic again here, "Everytime you question Miers' fitness to serve on SCOTUS,
YOU KILL A KITTEN!
"Was Harriet Miers by any chance your "Writing & Composition" teacher?"
LMAO...too good.
Then obviously you are the one who is unintelligent. So I misspelled one word and misused another, sue me, otherwise grow up. This is the internet I do not need to be nor wish to be perfect everytime, especially on a topic full of coneheads.
Good one!

Hmmm. Maybe he has a FR account. Wonder which one?

"It's a posse of vigilantes riding to the sound of the gunfire."
I have a friend who lives on a plantation in Virginia that has been in the family since the 1600s. As you enter the drive you encounter the following sign posted on a tree: Drive slowly to avoid raising dust which draws shell fire.
Hey nice, tak behind another freepers back. Its common etiquette here to also ping the FReeper you are insulting. Stand up and be a man.
No wonder he is sinking in the polls. Bush is losing it.
Stubbornness is not leadership. A wise leader knows how to listen, knows how to cut his losses, and knows that disagreements within his base must never be allowed to get ugly and personal. When a leader fights his base he always loses, even if he 'wins'. Clinton defeated his base in getting NAFTA passed but it cost him Congress. A leader who was thinking rationally instead of reacting emotionally would never, ever escalate a conflict with his base to this level of name-calling. It's become a pissing contest with him in which he has completely lost sight of the big picture.
Okay George.
I think I know who's writing Harriet Miers' opening statement before the Senate Judiciary Committee November 7!
...I do not need to be nor wish to be perfect everytime...
You are correct in that assertion. In fact, a few more posts like that and you, too, may be a SCOTUS nominee.
Mega LOL!
ROFLMAO
I'll put a dollar on aft_lizard. But then, it could be classygreeneyedblonde!
"No kidding. If Bush would have consulted with anyone else, then Miers would have never been the nomination. It appears Blakeman is saying that Bush was determined to nominate Miers regardless of what anyone else or the evidence had to say. Wow, talk about lending credibility to the critics of the war in Iraq.
Bush is really looking to tear down his whole operation over this idiotic appointment."
My thoughts exactly as I've posted elsewhere. IMO this is one of the most damning statements I've seen. Has the Bush White House become like the Nixon White House--seige mentality and all that? I hope this isn't the case, but I'm not getting a good feeling from what I'm seeing.
LOL! Is she warming up yet?
Bwahahahahahahahahaha good one Dean.
