From Staff Reports
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.

The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department.

The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State.

After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.

Men, in particular, usually commit suicide in a way almost certain to be effective (guns, jumps, etc.) - women are more likely to use more ineffective means (cutting wrists, pills, etc.) - the use of a pipe bomb seems pretty iffy for a man intending suicide.

"Maybe, he was on his way to a group suicide."

Suicide support group gone awry.

What's in a microbiology building? Well, somewhere, there's some microbes, thin sections and weird $hite, or there wouldn't be any research.

My last year in college (2000)....I had taken a bit of time off and returned...I was suprised at all the burkas and OBL look-alikes I saw chatting on islamic forums in computer lab. They were pretty well entrenched until 2001 and seemed to disappear for awhile. Guess they made a comeback since I left.

They had a lot of coverage of this on the Wichita, KS stations.

No indication this was a suicide bomber in the sense that they wanted to kill others......but it was a bomb and he or she used a bomb to kill himself or herself.

HOWEVER, another suspicious device has been found nearby...

If the tularemia organism has been genetically altered to greater pathogenecity as in some reports I have read, it can be deadly. I practiced in East Texas, and I do not recall any colleague reporting a case of tularemia. Garden variety tularemia will make a person very, very sick.

Ulceroglandular Tularemia, the worst form of the disease, carries a 5% mortalitiy rate. That coupled with tularemia pneumonia raises the mortality rate to about 30%.

Ok let me get this right. According to the MSM... A bomber who commits suicide near a huge group of people isn't a suicide bomber just a bomber who is committing suicide. Will Oprah say it was just a huge cry for help? At what point to they become an insurgent or freedom fighter?

"AP is reporting officials believe it was an individual suicide. The articles has this unpleasant quote from a student witness: "We saw a little bit of smoke, about as much as you would see coming up from a grill."

There you have it, folks the first recorded..."CHARCOSIDE" in America.

Stupid place to deploy it if they went to that much trouble in building it, especially when a football game or other mass atraction is taking place on the campus of which they are familiar.

It is my experience that more news turns out to be false in the MSM. They are still reporting baby rapes at the Convention Center during Katrina.

The author was Ambrose Evans-Pritchard. Excellent book. The only major point he didn't get into it was the discovery, by an ordnance expert, that the fertilizer bomb in the truck couldn't possibly have brought down the building from that distance. There must have been explosives strapped to the reinforced concrete pillars in the basement. Clinton's FBI covered that up, along with the involvement of the FBI and the CIA in Elohim City.

"See Saudi Prince Buys Large Share of Fox News

This "prince" is the same guy who was snubbed by Guiliani. He donated $10 million to NYC after 9/11 and then qualified it with a "It's America's fault" remark."

Clever ba$t....

thanks for the hat tip.

That would be my first thought since it happened on campus.
