From Staff Reports
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said. The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department.
The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State.
After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.

Did you see the video of the moment the vermin detonated in the middle of a crowded Bali restaurant? Only one channel if running this. He was wearing "heavy" clothing.

I'll start with the cheerleaders and Hooters girls--yep, those Hooters girls can be real dangerous...Yep, those over shoulder bomb holders from Vicky's Secret can hold all sorts of mischief.

I don't know, but if it had been an attempted abortion-clinic bombing gone awry 100 yards from the clinic, or even a non-related suicidal person blowing himself up 100 yards from a clinic it would be all over the news right now. I'm not defending the suicide-bombing of abortion clinics, but that's just the way the media works.

There is always alot of confusion and misinformation when any emergency/crisis occurs.
I believe there is not much more to this story than some wack job blew himself up (suicide) If it was an islamo fascist he/she would've made sure they blew themselves up in a crowd.
I have heard of people who kill themselves in horrible ways, such as incinerate themselves with gas & a match.
I believe if there were so many "witnesses" to this, it will come out that there is much more to this.
Right now we have some guy on a blog saying he felt the explosion a mile away - how bout his neighbors?
People can say anything they want, doesn't make me believe it, it could be his "15 mins" moment.

indeed. hey, maybe they could say the Bali bomber was just some person who wanted to kill himself - and he just happened to do it by blowing up a bomb on his back while inside a coffee shop.

Having read the whole column...or as much as was relevant, think I called it right with pix from my profile page...

Thomas Jefferson and Albert Einstein were speaking to all of us to come as free Americans. Let's make sure we listen, and act accordingly.
In regard to speculation, listen to what Michael Reagan says on his sign offs ~ "Keep your powder dry!" Hopefully we see little action in the Michigan area, otherwise we may have a war right here on home soil. Hopefully it's all hyperbole, but be ready for the worst.

You are speculating. First responder accounts are segregated in the database, as well as some other special circuits. Every single number is "known". Personal accounts are not to be used for primary comms during a response. All providers are connected to the PSTN, so there is much more sharing than you seem to think. Ever hear of "roaming"?I'm not speculating - I am a first responder, in charge of first responders. My personal cell phone number is NOT in a specified database because I would have had to have Verizon put it there. That authority does not lie with the customer to do so.
I'm in the Utility industry, in a Federal agency. I have also worked in this industry with a private employer. There's a heirarchy of communications that we use including internal phone systems and landlines, trunked radio, provided cell phones, provided satellite phones, personal cell phones, and home telephones. We operate over whatever medium is available. Often, the only means to contact personnel is a personal cell phone. This is especially true when somebody is out in a poor reception area, out of reach of our radio system.
As for roaming, I think you'd better study up on your RF operation before you even try to lecture me - part of my past includes working on interconnected and trunked radio systems, which operate very much like a cellular phone system. I know how it works.

Absolutely. We still can't rule out a Rudolph/McVeigh wingnut bombing with (allegedly) no connection to Islam. In that case, it would not be a suicide but a work accident. Amateur bomb-makers do not have a good safety record.
OTOH, if there were the slightest scrap of information indicating a Rudolph/McVeigh Angry White Maletm as the perp/victim, the dhimmi media would be shouting it from the rooftops.
Speaking of scraps, there is still no public ID on the "victim."
BTW, my cell phones were out around 8:30 last night, too.

If you look down on OU, there is a drive that comes in next to Gaylord College of Journalism building goes next to an open area called the south oval on the west and swings around on the westside of Cross in front of the Michael Price School of Business and loops around on the eastside of Cross across from the stadium parking garage and stadium and goes on to Lindsey. Buses for the game are parked all along this stretch of road.
My kids and I pass the buses and walk right by Cross on the way to and from the game. K-State buses would have been parked there as well as other charter buses for the game.
