From Staff Reports
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.

The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department.

The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State.

After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.

Good morning, thanks for your reports and glad you and yours are safe.

Fox&Friends reported this as a "suicide" (not suicide bombing), they also did report about the second bomb and then said that OU officials stated that nobody in the stadium was EVER in danger.

That was it. Wonder how the OU officials, if they actually said that and in that context, could be so cock-sure.

I sure hope the Feds are hot on the trail of the two suspects the girl saw. And why can't that be reported as part of the story....oh yeah, never mind............

They just played this on Fox Sports and said there was more than one bomb, sure seems like a terrorist attack.

We've been digging for info on this Peach- but we end up in the Twilight Zone. If you can go back and read the msgs PK Mom sent- the cell phones DID stop for a period of time- then all went back on at the same time. This is being reported in a very odd fashion. There was a second bomb detonated by the bomb squad also.

Even IF this is not terror related in any way- the story is compelling and newsworthy- and yet it is barely registering.

Most likely he's a muzzie. If he wasn't a muzzie, you can be sure the authorities would have put out that infomation already. He was a muzzie. Book it.

Good morning Charles.

AQ and their ilk have taken credit for some accidents that were obvious accidents. You only see it on their websites which some folks at TM kindly monitor for others.

There have been other 'accidents' which I found highly suspicious. Again, AQ has taken credit for them on some of their websites. Still not sure about them. The MSM does not and will not report their claims - doesn't help their ratings ($$$$).

This bombing stinks of the first 'attempted' homicide bombing on US soil.

I don't have all the facts. I never will. I'm just connecting dots. I don't like the picture the dots are forming.

See my about page. Get yourself prepared. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Safe Safe FRiend.

I've just finished reading all PhiKapMom's posts on this matter.

1. Bomb blast shook the stadium. That is NOT a pipe bomb.

2. Cell phones and instant messaging did not work for some period of time. Reason unknown.

3. A Persian girl witnessed two middle eastern men running away immediately after the blast.

4. A second bomb was detonated by police.

5. PhiKapMom's son's friend was so close to the blast his face was red.

6. At least five people were injured, despite the press reporting that no one was injured.

I know that OKC has a huge presence of former Iraqi Republican Guard. The first President Bush made a deal with them if they would stand down during the First Gulf War, they would be relocated to the US.

The book The Third Terrorist by Jayna Davis is an absolute MUST read and she details just how much terrorist activity/planning has occurred in the area.

For instance, it is known that some of the 9/11 hijackers stayed at the same motel as the terrorists who worked with Nichols/McVeigh; the Cactus Motel, I think.

If Jayna Davis is still reporting for a local newspaper there, look for follow-up stories under her byline about this latest incident.

txflake - I d o not remember anything about goal posts as it relates to terrorism. Am trying to get caught up on this story and it sounds like to me we're very luck that those two bombs did not take down a huge portion of the stadium and went off prematurely and killed only the suicide bomber himself.

The press is spinning it only as no one "inside the stadium" was ever in any danger. Nothing about the others who were injured in the blast.

I'm literally trembling as this was the first thing I read on FR this morning and most of us know full well just how much terrorist planning has gone on in that part of the country.

I will be interested to read/hear what local reporters are saying about this matter.

Peach,

I am a little jealous of your Go Yankees tag line. Where do you navigate to put a tag line? Yes I am going to copy you a little!

When you post a reply, at the bottom of the box where the reply goes, there is something that says Tagline.

Just type in what you want and then click Post.
