I held a sign that said "Iraqis gave ANSWER the purple finger" I can't tell you how many protestors either stopped to ask me what the purple finger was or asked the people around them. I was surprised at the ignorance of the crowd. (probably shouldn't have been...)

I am an American. Blogs are starting to catch on big time in Germany now, however. Since counter-protesting only really came of age in the USA this weekend, it will be another 3 or 4 years before the concept hits Germany. Keep in mind that the Germans finally adopted Halloween only in the year 2000. The Russians are adopting Halloween this year for the first time. It takes time for the old world to develop. The USA moves quickly as a culture.

Thanks again to everyone who showed up. I figured that infiltrating the protest from the FRONT would have the biggest effect. The rest of our guys were barricaded on the side of Penn Ave, as you read. When we showed up, it was like someone just caught a "Hail Mary" in the end zone. The applause was awesome!
