Yikes.
Ran across some at Fort Sill.
Went belly down on it during training.
Then instantly jumped back up cursing my brains out with this oval-ish abomination with near two inch thorns sticking to me.
Thankfully, it was a small specimen of the plant, so I wasn't landing on somethng as big as I was.
If it had been bigger than two bagels, I would have been able to avoid it..

ANYone at the south pole has MY curiosity piqued!
I'd like to go there, just for the experience, but I am such a wuss when it comes to cold...
I'm the only person I know who carries a jacket/sweater or coat to go INdoors! ;o]

I charge at those at top walking speed.
They barely open wide enough to let me through before I scrape betwen them.

Wow. I've never had my metabolism tested, but I think it's a little slow.

I have a Gazelle Edge, (elliptical trainer) and after 10 minutes, I know I'm WORKING!

*crossing fingers*
the "test" lightweight recurved bow I made from leftover bamboo worked out fairly well, and taught me a lot.
I'd currently lay odds of success with this "yumi" at about 75%

"...this is not a trivial detail on an asymmetric bow." I would say, "Well, duh!" but I have already used up my once per day maximum quota of California-speak.

tulip, you're back from dinner.
Why do you have difficulty with hot weather then?

My daughter used to be a phlebotomist (she's in sleep studies, now) and she loved my veins...they are so close to the surface.

I don't know why they frequently don't see me.
It can be awkward, if other people notice.
almost as bad as the streetlights going out as i get within 20yards of them...

I'm not sure. If the temperature gets too hot (like around 90s or higher), I get sick.

Just remember the 30-30-30 rule:
At -30 degrees Fahrenheit, with a 30mph breeze, human flesh freezes solid in 30 seconds. Ample protection is more than just comfort, it is life itself.
P.S. -- Good evening...
