I still think we need a square "sail" for the castle. Maybe hang some "sheilds" along the sides. ;-)

She has the design eye.
She brought a few things that she has made.
Couple of purses.
Has the design part down with out knowing any of the rules.
When she gets the basics down she will take off.
Sewing has made the difference between survival and sinking for a lot of women.
It is a skill you never regret having.

At the least! Of course, some Vik drinking songs would help...maybe we could decorate one of the bars in traditional Viking array...shields, helmets, Vik boots, drinking horns, furs...

The only regrets I have now are that I have two sewing machines, and neither of them work, and I can't find the pattern for my sewing cabinet, even though my brother is willing to make it for me...:o[

You can decorate one of the other bars in traditional VK array...when Dead Corpse comes out of the forges, he needs a place to relax!

Is getting them fixed an option?
My sister has a part time sewing business. She does custom embroidery.

"I still think we need a square "sail" for the castle." At the moment, I can't see any functionality to a square sail for any purpose. Eventually, once we're in space, we could use a square shaped mirror to supplement our food growing program. It would look like a solar sail, but would not function as one.
In the meantime, I have no objection to someone building a miniature Viking dragonboat, populating it with helmeted capuchin monkeys, and sailing it in the moat.
For a finale, we can see what the plesiosaur makes of it.

I mean we need oars to row the castle through space. (I can't believe I just said that!)

"I mean we need oars to row the castle through space." Archimedes would point out that there is nothing to dip your oar into.
It's unfortunate that I may be the only one who has a clear picture of what this monstrous contraption would look like in space, but trust me, it would not be improved by oars, (or propelled, either!)

Use a subspace traction field generator and use frame dragging for propulsion.
