I find Joe Manchin's situation intersting...WV is culturally red but politically blue thanks to the teachers and labor unions...but Manchin seems to be an anti-tax, pro-business Democrat.

All I know is he wheedled and whined about the state being broke until enough Republicans believed him to pass his proposed tax increase. Then, about 3 weeks later, it comes out that Virginia will realize about a $900 million SURPLUS in the year it's supposedly broke. Sheesh.
