Now some fresh pickings from the Hurricane Grapevine:
New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin (search) greeted President Bush when he arrived in Louisiana last night, and was at his side as he fielded questions on the Katrina relief efforts this morning. That quality time with the president, however, marks the mayor's first visit to the disaster area since Wednesday when Nagin pulled up stakes and moved his family to Dallas. The Dallas Morning News reports that Nagin has already bought a house in the city, and enrolled his daughter in school.
When the Mayor appeared on "Meet the Press" on Sunday from Dallas, he was never asked about his presence there, or his decision to move his family.

LOL. You know, it just might not be safe for some politicians in New Orleans about now. Leaving people to die, cramming them in a shelter with little provisions or security for days on end, kicking in peoples doors and stealing their guns and handcuffing them. Some people might get mad about that.
There was a lot that went wrong in New Orleans, but then a lot of that potential already existed beforehand. Biggest cesspool of criminals per capita in the U.S. wasn't it?
Also, have I missed it, or have Jackson, Sharpton, and the other "brothers" been less than outraged at Nagin's cut-and-run action?
Brothers? We are called Black people in case you didn't know...I don't consider those people to be my "Brothers" so how about hiding your racism a little better chica....Do you consider members of the KKK your "Brothers or Sisters"....unbelieveable
I'd settle for a pic :)
It's not listed in the property tax records (yet?), at least not under the Nagin name.
That's what happens when a ship sinks, the rats are the first to flee!
Any federal money (slush funds/walkin' around money) for the Water World Plantation mass suicidie pit must be conditional on Admiral Nagin's departure and prosecutions. School buses cost ~$65,000+ each; the Admiral lost his entire armada of hundreds in his Prime Time negligent failure to execute STEP 1 on N.O.'s emergency plan.
"Naggin' Does Dallas"
Ping.
You forgot to list the trains. Train transport was offered to the Mayor for his people; he declined the offer.
Accepting your information as accurate, then perhaps it is incumbent upon Republicans everywhere to take Nagin to the woodshed and teach him how to behave like a responsible adult and a Man. Otherwise his lack of performance/brains is going to rub off and give us a bad name.
A new house. In Dallas.
Wouldn't that be a hoot, if he bought it in someone else's name.
Oh just what my State needs, a half-witted failed Dem mayor.
When will the Dems demand the resignations of the NO mayor and LO Governor?
Be a Dem. Fail your way to the top. Nagin and Blanco will get their own tv shows now.
Sure Timmy did...he asked if Mardi Gra 2006 was going to happen. /sarcasm
Dide Nagin use public servants to move any of his stuff? Inquiring minds want to know...
Ping!
Maybe he bought this house in his wife's name.
Where did their money go? What did they spend it on?
Nagin's house in Dallas
