Liberals' soft bias exposed again!

Rush is about to discuss her remarks in the next segment. Wanted to add the ping.
[The following is just my 2 Cents]
Yesterday was no ordinary day. It was the fourth anniversary of 9-11-01. A day for reverence. A day to ponder infamy. A day to remember the victims families. And a day to honor America's heroes.
Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu made an outrageous remark on the fourth anniversary date of 9-11-01. I AX this question: did she insult 9-11-01 heroes on the fourth anniversary of 9-11-01?
Yesterday, Sunday, she said, "Mayor Nagin and most mayors in this country have a hard time getting their people to work on a sunny day, let alone getting them out of the city in front of a hurricane."
What an insult to government workers, the bulk of America's remaining unions, and one of the strongest bases of the democrat party. What an insult to all the heroic government workers in the city of New York, many of whom are [or were] 9-11 heroes.
I AX you: what do other senators think? Does Hillary agree with her, for example? Does Hillary think that the government workers in New York, for example, deserve that venomous insult? What about Chuckie Schumer? Does he agree? And Lousyburg from New Jersey, for that matter? AND SHOULD THE SENATE CONDEMN HER?

As I mentioned above, I think Landrieu's reference to "getting their people to work on a sunny day" is a reference to the transportation infrastucture; and not a reference to the city employees.
Her answer in that context is still a non sequitur; but I'd be cautious about accusing her of insulting the city employees.
"What a disgrace this Landrieu woman is. Let us ensure that her remarks are not forgotten."
And is party loyalty more important to democrat senators than standing up for American heroes? Obviously that will be the case. But political pressures from the union bosses may twist their arms in the end. FRegards....
Also, this happened on a weekend. They didn't want to lose tourist money by calling for evacuations on Saturday.

Actually, I'm looking at this quote from the context of Laura Ingraham, my own take, and Rush. I see the words and what they say. I believe words mean things.

I agree with your conclusion. Limbaugh is attributing the wrong meaning to her statement too, and he's usually a cut or three above NewsMax.
Her answer was a non sequitur to the question; why not use the buses? "Because the mayor has an imperfect transporation infrastructure."

I disagree. Had she been referring to budgetary constraints, there would not have been a reference to "on a sunny day". Sorry, you are WRONG on this one. I heard the exchange when it happened and she insulted the New Orleans public workers.
September 11th is just another day for a Democratic Politician trying desperately to save her mangy hide.
If you listened to Landrieu's interview with Chris Wallace, Landrieu doesn't have a clue and is looking to blame everyone excpet her.

I called both of my United States senators this morning to complain about their colleague Miss Mary - one of whom is a RAT, and one a Republican.
Complain to your senators of both parties. It will help. All they are hearing is the DC echo chamber of it all being Bush's fault.
If she confused anyone with her remark, it's her job to clarify. Unlike the rats, we will hear her out.

Yeah, but take it in context. Her conclusion related to mass transporation - something that an entire populae uses.
Her "his people" could refer to the entire populace of NOLA, and I believe that is exactly what she had in mind when she said it. A bad choice of words, to be sure, but I think the meaning you are ascribing is incorrect. I'll concede they are naturally taken the way you are taking them, but that doesn't mean your interpretation comprehends the talker's intention.
This is how I saw it as well, especially since right afterwards, she went on a tirade about how the president and this administration does not support public transit.
I think Rush is blowing it on this one -- there are far more opportunities to show the subtle racism of low expectations. This just ain't one, sorry!

THEN--she had the NERVE to say the Republicans were doing the finger pointing, to whcih Chris looked at her in amazement and said "But it was YOU who was doing the finger-pointing on the Senate floor." He got her *ss good.
