As always, soliciting FReeper comments, observations, and opinions.
Good morning, Alas. Will anyone ask Landrieu hard questions or just allow her to do the blame Bush dance? Will Mayor Nagin take responsibility for the failure to evacuate his city, or continue to sidestep? How many times will the race and poverty cards be played? So many questions.
9-11 horror and honor rememberence.
Talk about baling out!!! ~ Like a rat fleeing a sinking ship!
I predict Russert will ask Nagain a tough question, then Nagin will give a him a "look," then the subject will change.
You are kidding! Do we have a date for this purchase?
Maybe Chris W will make her cry.
and where is the Governor, Ms Blanco? under her desk? not on the firing line, i see.
I just read about it last night ... let me check. He's been in Dallas since mid-week last week I think........let me see if I can find the link.
Several of us think the mayor is about to turn on Blanco, and the move of his relatives to Dallas is for their safety.
But the city where 450,000 once lived faced long-term disruption. Some may never return to ruined homes. The New Orleans Times Picayune reported on Saturday that Mayor Ray Nagin had bought a house in Dallas and moved his family there. Nagin said he would return to New Orleans and make occasional visits to his family.
Dreamer.
My dream is for both to be arrested live on screen.
Interesting commentary on CSPAN by guest Jefferey Rosen, professor GWU Law School - he seems to be a liberal who is defending John Roberts - he will look at the constitutionality of questions before the court, not the ideology - he is about the best we [liberals] can hope for.
Seriously?! Is that true?
Also, is it true that Nagin didn't stay in N.O. during the storm...that he rode it out in Baton Rouge? (Being in the storm area, I didn't see any news the week after it hit).
I'm sick of the politically correct coverage. We'll see if Russert breaks the mold and asks some tough questions (will he show Nagin the bus picture?).
And Blanco's arrest shown live from her own kitchen, as she stuffs her face with crow!
see my post # 11 for the article link: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1482200/posts?page=11#11
I did hear that he left NO to ride out the storm, but I never saw it confirmed anywhere ... I wonder..?
But media it seems, don't want to give ANY credit for preventing attacks here since and want to stay Katrina and filing lawsuits to show dead bodies.
But we Remember
