Good morning, Alas. Will anyone ask Landrieu hard questions or just allow her to do the blame Bush dance? Will Mayor Nagin take responsibility for the failure to evacuate his city, or continue to sidestep? How many times will the race and poverty cards be played? So many questions.

I hope someone asked Nagin why he
bought a house in Dallas to move his family into!

I wonder if Mary Landrieu will threaten bodily harm to the news reporter if she is asked hard questions.

Dreamer.
My dream is for both to be arrested live on screen.

I watched much of Meet the Press. Nagin was tap dancing all over the place it was everyones fault but his. While he didnt directly play the race card (he continually prefaced his comments with Ive heard, people say, etc) his racism and political partisanship came through loud and clear.

I can't wait:
Did anyone ask Mary Landrieu to what extent she thinks her daddy and former mayor "Moon" (I'm not making this up) Landrieu shares responsibility for New Orleans' wretched lack of preparedness?

If this comment doesn't believe in the Freeper Hall of Shame, I don't know what does. So it's a lack of funding for mass transit???
LANDRIEU: Well, I will. I will answer it. I am not going to level criticism at local and state officials.
Mayor Nagin and most mayors in this country have a hard time getting their people to work on a sunny day, let alone getting them out of the city in front of a hurricane.
And it's because this administration and administrations before them do not understand the difficulties that mayors -- whether they are in Orlando, Miami, or New Orleans -- face. (CROSSTALK) LANDRIEU: In other words, this administration did not believe in mass transit. They won't even get people to work on a sunny day, let alone getting them out...
