The most recent information I've been able to find is from 2003 when atheists were voicing opposition to the WTC Cross being used in a WTC memorial. No decision had been made at that point.

As far as I could find was its location as of 2003: "Two years later, the cross remains in place along Church Street on the eastern border of the 16-acre WTC site". From snopes.com.
Maybe another Freeper that lives or works in NY can confirm this. When I find out, I will let you know. I just assumed it was still at the site. I saw a picture of it on tv the other day, but I don't know if it was recent. However, once you asked, I really can't say that with certainty.

Even after only 4 years, we have already seen the apologists, and other liberal cretins who have made excuses for these Islamic terrorists who brought this horror to our shores. The re-writing of 9/11 has already begun by the liberals...it is up to us to hold on to the truth.

These photographs, the possibility of having Hillary or Obama as the next president, the laissez-faire attitude toward Islam and the animosity between parties in Congress make me realize how deeply troubled we are as a nation.
God have mercy on this country because its political leaders certainly don't.
