Did Blanco attempt genocide at Superdome?
Ramblings' Journal ^ | 9.7.05 | Michael King

Posted on 09/07/2005 8:08:10 PM PDT by mhking

The Red Cross has confirmed to Fox News Channel's Major Garrett that they had requested permission to take food and medical supplies to the Louisiana Superdome in the hours immediately after Hurricane Katrina's landfall. That request was denied by none other than Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco.

Garrett appeared on Hugh Hewitt's syndicated radio program this evening to discuss the shocking revelation.

MG: Well, the Red Cross, Hugh, had pre-positioned a literal vanguard of trucks with water, food, blankets and hygiene items. They're not really big into medical response items, but those are the three biggies that we saw people at the New Orleans Superdom, and the convention center, needing most accutely. And all of us in America, I think, reasonably asked ourselves, geez. You know, I watch hurricanes all the time. And I see correspondents standing among rubble and refugees and evacuaees. But I always either see that Red Cross or Salvation Army truck nearby. Why don't I see that?

HH: And the answer is?

MG: The answer is the Louisiana Department of Homeland Security, that is the state agency responsible for that state's homeland security, told the Red Cross explicitly, you cannot come.

HH: Now Major Garrett, on what day did they block the delivery? Do you know specifically?

MG: I am told by the Red Cross, immediately after the storm passed.

The Louisiana Department of Homeland Security is directly under the command and direction of Governor Kathleen Blanco. The same Kathleen Blanco who has whined and blamed the federal government from her perch in Baton Rouge throughout this entire crisis. The same Kathleen Blanco who has stared at cameras with deer-in-headlight-glazed eyes since Hurricane Katrina made landfall. The same Kathleen Blanco who, after being asked about federal help prior to landfall said, "No." The same Kathleen Blanco who rescinded Mayor Ray Nagin's order to completely evacuate the city due to dangerous conditions just today.

Was Kathleen Blanco's goal the death of as many of those in the Superdome as possible?

I think she conciously didn't want Bush to be regarded as a hero as with 9/11 and blocked him. I don't think she intended on there being so many deaths, but once it came out how many were dying, she went into CYA mode and tried to pin it on Bush anyway.

I don't think that's a stretch of the imagination at all. I believe that she has played a deadly game of politics with innocent people's lives.

Very well done by Major Garrett. All the questions answered.

You wouldn't happen to have the clip of Nagin after meeting with Bush and Blanco where he says he hoped they could leave Air Force 1 with a decision?

Is it just me, or has there been a marked reduction in troll activity today?

'Hillary is counting on Blanco to turn the state blue for 2008. Blanco wasn't up to the job.' Then again, maybe she was. Maybe she did just exactly what she was advised...

>>...liberals/democrats are so willing to bus black people to vote for them, but when there was danger headed their way, the same black people were not bused out of harms way<<

That is an EXCELLENT point!!!!

May the conservative media pick up on your idea and publish it far and wide!

You're right. And if they had scrapped all the Superdome plans and put this young man in charge of evacution, no telling how many more survivors we would have had.

Sorry, I just checked and I didn't get that clip, however, I did get the clip from Bill O'Really (not a typo) about the "Gag Order" on the LA National Guard. I'll have it on my homepage in about an hour.

Ah. We now have hints that Blanco and the rest of the liberal filth *planned* on blaming this on Bush from the beginning.

I listened to the entire exchange on Hewitt's show this afternoon (Pacific Standard Time). Once the documentation substantiating the Red Cross' official's claims hits the Internet and news wires (maybe, since we are dealing with the MSM), Kathleen Blanco's goose will be cooked well done.

Thank you for sharing : )

Vultures. The RATS are vultures and prey on the dead. You wrote: "...it would seem that each dead resident would become a guaranteed vote for Blanco and her fellow travellers."

listen to it with a few words changed:
"it would seen that each dead soldier would become a guaranteed vote for Hillary and her fellow travellers."

There's no mistaking that Soros is behind Cindy Sheehan using the dead for political purposes.

I wonder how much, if any, property he owns in NO?

I hope you don't mind, I emailed this to Rush Limbaugh. I hope he mentions it.

FWIW, I credited you, CyberAnt!

There's no guarantee that the dead soldiers would come from areas where the 'RATs can commit vote fraud with near-impunity. New Orleans, on the other hand, sounds like just such a place (I should know; I'm in a close-in suburb of Milwaukee, which has become even more corrupt than Chicago).

There's no mistaking that Soros is behind Cindy Sheehan using the dead for political purposes.

Dunno if Sorea$$ has a financial stake in this, but it sure seems like he's sent out the faxes that became the 'RAT response.

" Access to New Orleans is controlled by the National Guard* and local authorities and while we are in constant contact with them, we simply cannot enter New Orleans against their orders."

And we must not forget that Blanco commands the Louisiana National Guard.
This continues to cycle back to Blanco.
I agree with others that a criminal probe should be underway to find out why Blanco botched so many things.
Why she did not execute her legally mandated responsibilities.
Was it malfeasance or sheer incompetence ?
Her TAG at the Louisiana National Guard should also be documenting the tactical advice he gave her .
And what orders she gave him and when.
And how many hours she needed to think things over.
Interestingly- Lt Col Cowan told O'R that he has been investigating the National Guard timeline and no one will talk. A gag order has been officially or unofficially ordered.
I wonder if Alberto Gonzales will have the stomach to order a federal probe-especially if he thinks he is on the short list for SC ?
