I heard Major report this - we need to find out WHO in the LA dept of homeland security made this call.

Hugh Hewitt asked Major Garrett if there was any paper communication on this issue and Major admitted he hadn't looked into that yet. He was going away to do that and Hugh has agreed to post any copies of relevant correspondence on his website.

Are they saying she wouldn't let them in right after the hurricane when people COULD leave and she wanted them to leave, OR later in the week (last week) when folks were stranded and could NOT leave, or THIS week when they can leave and she wants them to leave?

All of the above. There is no reason to not bring food and water to people waiting for buses to evacuate them.

Oh yeah, I just remembered another delay cause by civil unrest. The bus convoy servicing the ThunderDome was supended for hours due to gunshots.
