Smoke billows from a fire(rear) rages in downtown New Orleans. US authorities ignored warnings that New Orleans was vulnerable to a hurricane nightmare and slashed funding that could have saved the city as spending on the war in Iraq soared, experts said.
AFP is neck-to-neck with Reuters in the race to produce the most anti-American bile.
"New Orleans fell deeper into chaos on Friday with gangs roaming the streets and corpses rotting in the sun a full four days after Hurricane Katrina lashed the city and exposed federal aid efforts as a failure."
Read what this twit said TODAY with what he said YESTERDAY. So which is it David you Moron? Guess you got your DNC directions this morning on how to spin the story huh? Guss you forgot all about Yesterday's convoy huh?
fire burns near downtown New Orleans September 2, 2005, as another burns in the city. New Orleans fell deeper into chaos on Friday with gangs roaming the streets and corpses rotting in the sun a full four days after Hurricane Katrina lashed the city and exposed federal aid efforts as a failure. A long military convoy of emergency supplies finally rolled into the flooded city on Friday morning, the first sign of significant relief after days of delays and broken promises. (David J. Spending that included approval from the likes of John Kerry and Hillary Clinton...but don't let the facts get in the way of a good Bush-bash. What a dishonest twerp this guy is.
If its true that Repbulicans shorted the "shoring up" of NO,
maybe that's not so bad considering what a mess it was.
Having said that, and not believing the administration did short NO ( the reality says 40 mil was ready to go for reconstruction on the levees)...that's not a way I would want to see the problem solved. Until we deal with the culture of welfare and entitlement...NO's mess will now just be spread around.

and 3 FULL days after the Levee broke. Louisiana Gov Blanco has STILL not asked President Bush to deploy Regular US Army troops to restore order. Under US Law the President cannot send in Regular Army troops until the State Governor asks for them.
Good point. I here the morons on the radio yelling, "Send in the Marines!" Our government doesn't send our military against or into our people unless our people ask for it.
Ah, here come the experts.....................
I think is about time Iraq started paying us back for the liberation. Send us OIL now. we'll deduct it from your bill.
