I don't remember which FReeper found it. I saw it posted and incorporated it into a story about Galveston's emergency evac plan ----
WHY DIDN'T N.O. USE THE BUSES

I suppose everyone heard that POS Nagin cursing about the Fed. Gov't/Bush not doing anything. Geez, are we through the looking glass or what? YOU'RE THE MAYOR, NED! Where was your infrastructure? Did you not know this was a possibility for years??

Freepers started it. Drudge ran with it. Does the MSM now run with it or ignore it?

Exactly.
Rather than bashing the President there are millions that are alive because he told these Governors to stop sitting on their butts and get people out.

they were'nt Greyhounds Exactly. Why did they have to wait for air conditioned luxury buses & arrange for the Astrodome? Why couldn't they use every available school bus in the surrounding areas & move the people to a staging area outside of NO?

I hope Drudge buys a TV station some day...
...oh, and he and Ann Coulter end up buying the New York times.
Hey, I can dream, can't I?

I've been yelling ( of course Nagan couldn't hear me)since Sunday to use the school buses to evacuate NO.
They could have gotten hundreds from surrounding counties to evacuate the Superdome after the flood.
Officials have no imagination. Guess that's why they are in that line of work.

Let's think about it, shall we?
If you're living in an area that experiences hurricanes and could someday be wiped out, as a public official you would prepare for that eventuality, wouldn't you?
Yes, you would. If you were responsible, that is.
You would prepare for the eventuality by coordinating transportation out of the city. You would prepare by having food stocks available. You would prepare by having a site perhaps fifty miles away where people could live in tents if need be. You would do all of those things.
Is any of that evident here? No. None of it is. And this liberal parasite has the gall to say the federal government hasn't done enough. But he hasn't done *anything*.

Look how many buses could have been deployed to the Superdome ahead of time and parked on the raised parking structure, SAFE, from the flood waters.

Forced bussing is unconstitutional and racist (I knows my rights). The busses don't have seatbelts, airbags, and there weren't enough helmets to go around, I'm not ridin' in do deathtrap. And since Bush utterly dropped the ball, no Gameboys at all were available. If but for the NO mayor's quick thinking, nobody would've survived at all.

WHY DIDN'T YOU DEPLOY THE BUSES, MAYOR?... New Orleans Lost Opportunity Wellllllllll
Nagin was quoted in that local radio interview -- replayed on CNN and other networks -- that there had been a proposal to use school buses. "School buses!" he ranted with disdain, "School buses! Where are the Greyhounds? Why isn't every bus company coming here to rescue these people."

WHY DIDN'T YOU DEPLOY THE BUSES, MAYOR?... Um, maybe because they were under THREE FREAKIN' FEET OF WATER? All of the buses in that pic have their engines underwater. They aren't going anywhere anytime soon. To say that they should have been moved to high ground before the storm is hindsight B.S.

I would put the mayor on suicide watch- this is not going to go over well. The Mayor should come clean right now- there was no plan- there never was a plan.Typical low life democrat in leadership- while others clean up the mess, save and reassure people-they spend their time spinning.

I saw it at 10:37:21 CST this morning on another thread.
