As buses finally started arriving to pluck refugees from the Louisiana Superdome yesterday, a horrifying picture emerged of the squalor, violence and mayhem that they faced during the days spent huddled in the stadium.
Twenty-five thousand miserable people — many of whom lost their homes to Hurricane Katrina — hunkered down with little food and little water, overflowing toilets, stifling heat and the unbearable stench of human waste.
Children slept in pools of urine. Crack vials littered the bathrooms. Bloodstains smeared the walls near vending machines that had been pried open. Gunfire has ricocheted down the corridors.
There were two reports of rape, one involving a child. Three people died — one a distraught man who jumped to his death, saying he had nothing left to live for.
"We pee on the floor. We are like animals," Taffany Smith, 25, told the Los Angeles Times, while she gripped her 3-week-old son in her arms.

Supplies were dangerously low, with one mother saying officials told her to reuse diapers by scraping them out when they got dirty.

"There is feces on the walls," said Bryan Hebert, 43. "There is feces all over the place."

Refugee Alan Gould spoke to CNN from inside the New Orleans Convention Center. He said sick, eldery and children are dying and children have been beaten and raped. He pleaded for help.
Right on..! All our eyes are down there...Hope someone is watching the backdoor..!

That was good and not far from the truth!
As I write this they are reporting on Fox that they're are explosions coming out of the Superdome. Some are saying its a chemical fire some are saying grenades?!!
The place sounds like hell. God help us. Our prayers for everyone involved.
Why should the people there expect conditions to be any better in the superdome than they are at home?
There are homeless people all over the world that would be happy with a few nights at the superdome, concession stand or not.
But as far as the rapes and such, no doubt that the filth is unbearable ther.
The Muhammed Atta's of the world are watching what's happening and have discovered America's achilles heel. Al Qaeda will find a way to harness the permanent welfare class to achieve what they weren't able to achieve on 9/11.

Why? That has more to say about the people themselves than anything else.
And it's George W. Bush's fault.
So is this what Dallas and other cities have to look forward to in accepting thousands of refugees?
If somebody attacked now, we would be so pissed anything would go. It would be a very stupid move.
Wait till the junkies start running out of drugs....
