This does not look good at all. When a place gets hard hit it takes a while to find it out and we are hearing almost nothing about MS coast. We are hearing reports from New Orleans and there are problems but they dodged "The Big One." Prayers for everyone in MS. We have some FReepers in the area in question. Sure would be nice to hear from somebody there.

MSNBC reporter reporting from Biloxi says it was probably a stupid mistake to leave the hotel. Massive amounts of debris. A boat in a gas station 2 miles away from the coast, etc.

Water is 6' or 7' ft high two miles inland.

Looks like Ms. and Alabama got the brunt or the storm surge.

Live report from Colorado:

Breezy and 72 degrees. A hint of autumn in the air. Although we are prepared to meet Katrina should she decide to come our way! ;~)

shoot for the boombox, that way you'll likely get the head and plus you'll put em out of commission for a while till they can replace the boombox.

Amazing. As if it purposely went around NO and then curved back to it's original path.

That is why hurricanes are named after women. They have a mind of their own.

They should shoot anyone taking advantage of this type of circumstance. It is the only way to make sure they get the message. The question is what part of the body to shoot at.

Center of mass or head, for looters. Price gougers should be shunned, and be exempt from legal acition for gouging.

YMMV.
