Cafe Du Monde may be saved if they sandbagged it with their stock of powdered sugar bags.

It slows GE down a bit, but otherwise very nice. Thanks.

WDUS has been talking about the Hilton all morning. I think someone misreported the Hyatt.

Very cool live report on TWC...Simon is saying (he's with Cantori) the first floor is underwater...looked out and saw their car covered with water..and during the time he gave the report the water rose 3 inches.

He reminds me of a teenager...he's getting a high off the risk he's taking.

Danger can be exhilarating, then habituation. We're getting used to it. He's getting used to it.

Real reporting on what's happening can be mixed with the drama queen stuff, but nonstop standing in the wind is boring. The reporters level of excitement will stay longer than ours, but so what? We get used to it and the "I wonder what's really going on" clicks in, and we want news. Real news. Give us both.

Maybe some information about the refineries, the chemical plants, underground pipes and what effect that might have. What's the real danger? Cams at those locations. A few structural engineers - what buildings can take what force - building codes - what can be done? Gimme some meat boys. I'm getting tired of watching a never-ending outdoor wind tunnel scene with a camera man who can't wipe the rain off the lens.

I agree. Didn't she blather a bit about "sustainable marshlands", as if that had any relevance to what's happening right now?

Would this mean that there is oil pumping into the water where the oil rig used to be? Just wondering?

Not a chance ... ZERO.

The Audubon Aquarium of the Americas is also at the base of Canal, with a glass front. It was beautiful.

There are a lot of parking garages around the parking lot there, I wonder if anyone is huddled there?

I agree, but FNC renewed his contract. When he first joined FNC, I sent them so many emails protesting his hiring. They finally blocked my emails. What a 'pant load'. FNC is never on when Geraldo, "The Fake", and Greta, "Clutch Cargo", appear.
