No tornados here,,that is the worst. A tornado is worse than a cane any day.

Ol' Sox posted:

"WBRZ is reporting that 125 people in the 9th Ward have had to climb up onto the roofs of their homes
due to rising water. The 9th ward is surrounded on three sides by water. This is probably close to the
levee breach at Tennessee St. at the Industrial Canal."

Agreed, a report from the governor tied them together.

another member posted that he believed this was physically seperated from the main downtown New Orleans levee system and judging from material posted by yet another freeper, I now concur.

I know of no reports that indicate levee breaches in the downtown area as of this post.

Katrina is about 5X more energy than Camile. Roughly 2X the radius.

From all reports, it appears to have been a rig under construction, which would make sense.

LVTP-7: Amphibious Tractor (Amtrack) transported Marines from an LST or LPD to and over the beachhead, if necessary. Called Large Vulnerable Target, they were renamed AAVP-7 "Tuna Boats".

It's always time to be thinking about sex.

Heck, they even give you 'one last fag' before putting you in front of the firing squad.

Yes he left the wind area quickly.

However, he said the hotel locked them out. But I am willing to bet he will convince them to let him in.

He said he would be back next hour. We shall see.

Harrigan is a fool...this makes FOX News look worse than ever. He is truly going to get killed out there. That sign could come apart at any second.

Not only that, but ultimately, it endangers people. People watch these idiots standing out there and when it comes time to evacuate, they think they can ride it out because of people like Harrigan. It's past hype and such reporting that has encouraged a lot of people to stay in NO this time. I think he's a great reporter and did amazing work in the Middle East. But I have not liked his reporting at all in Katrina.
