Brian Williams reported that there are a couple of more holes people can see daylight through. They have some light but no information getting to them from official sources. He said there are many holes you can't see, rain is coming in in many places. He said the girders will hold, but many of the roof sections are flattening out. He said that people are being good natured about moving. He also said that it's hard to find a dry place on the field.

I'm trying to catch up, can someone explain how many people are in the Superdome?

It seems like last night the number was about 25,000-30,000 and then I read a post in this thread saying 9,000 people were inside. Anyone know about this discrepancy?

Geraldo said he didn't want to interject politics into a natural disaster then went right into "we missed to biggest threat to the homeland while pursuing another" or some such finger pointing. Jackass.

I'm in Lafayette; about 110 miles from the Big EZ. Baton Rouge is about the halfway mark between here and NO...a caller on a local radio show just said power is going out in parts of Baton Rouge now.

I am trying to catch up hereand am so so hopeful for NO now. Has anyone made the obvious observation about JIm Cantorre? He was in Biloxi all along. I think he must be a hurricane magnet.

Still praying hard for all in this monster. I am working and cableless so please all, keep us informed. And I do agree that this is no thread for jokes. This is dead serious.
