What the team leader found that Sunday morning was nothing less than a complete documented record of operational ties between Iran and al-Qaeda for the critical months just prior to September 11. "The documents showed Iran was facilitating the travel of al-Qaeda operatives, ordering Iranian border inspectors not to put telltale stamps on their passports, thus keeping their travel documents clean," the team leader told me. "The Iranians were fully aware that they were helping operatives who were part of an organization preparing attacks against the United States." ... Most troubling among the seventy-five documents the team read that Sunday morning in July were masses of reports on Iranian intelligence operative Imad Mugniyeh, who is described in the 9/11 Commission Report as "a senior Hezbollah operative." The raw reporting showed that well before 9/11, the United States had hard intelligence that the Tehran regime had appointed Mugniyeh as the point man for operational contacts with Bin Laden's men. That coincided with the information Zakeri brought to the CIA in Baku four months before the attack. ....
In fact, not much of this material makes it into the report at all. Mugniyeh didn't make the cut, despite evidence that he facilitated more than half of the muscle hijackers' entry during the late spring of 2001 into the United States for their 9/11 attacks. This, the CIA rationalized, only proved that the hijackers traveled through Iran, and not to Iran. However, that still leaves an open question about why their passports did not reflect those visits -- a question that the Commission never bothers to bring up, let alone answer.

If that isn't the truth...! Take a look at this re-writing of history -- according to the following article, at some point before May of 2000, Condi Rice who was NOT at that time SOS, was considered a security risk and identified as such -- there's some serious spinning here.
Who was clinton's last SOS? It was certainly not Condi Rice. Wasn't it Mad Maddie? What kind of nonsense are they trying to foist on us?

Cyber-sleuths working for a Pentagon intelligence unit that reportedly identified some of the 9/11 hijackers before the attack were fired by military officials, after they mistakenly pinpointed Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and other prominent Americans as potential security risks, The Post has learned.

Good point - now we could stage from at least 270 degrees around Iran: Iraq, the Persian Gulf, the Indian Ocean, and Afghanistan! We've got the buggers surrounded!! Of course, there would be huge political problems in the region, but we may just have to do what we have to do..... I don't think we need involve troops and Marines, though -- can't we take out enough of their military and Revolutionary Guards that the citizens could do the rest? Well, that seemed to be the thinking about Iraq in 1991 and look what happened there.... but we stopped short of really crushing Saddam properly.....

Because of the blogosphere, including the likes of Captain Ed, FR, and the rest of the usual suspects, the story has just reached critical mass in the MSM. That means there will be hearings.
We have to look ahead, and push for the congressional hearings to take place in any other committee, House or Senate, than in Senate Judiciary run by Arlen ("Scottish law") Spector. He could screw up a two-car funeral.
