Yea, thanks, I was catching this at work. It wasn't until after I had time to read it again a third time I caught it.
At least you weren't a complete and utterly worthless jerk in pointing it out. Someone might think that you were some loser that had nothing better to do. But I don't think that.
Since I hadn't been posting this to you I know you couldn't be lurking just to take cheap shots because you have nothing of worth to contribute. But I wouldn't want you to take anymore time correcting a hasty post of mine. There are so many others you could edit. So have a good night.
Ciardiello said she only took Rusti on the shopping errand because she needed just a few items for dinner and knew it would be a quick trip. She purposely parked close to the store so she could see if anything happened to Rusti, she said. You never made a trip to KwikEMart to pick up a couple of items?
While in line to buy the ravioli, bread and sodas she planned to serve, Ciardiello said she saw Sexton standing against her SUV,
Have you allowed for combinations of the above?
I have 3 babies...
2 of them are of the 2 legged species...
one is of a 4 legged species
Never talk back to a first responder
Was this post misdirected because I have no idea to what you are referring.
>The dog died after being run over in traffic. How it got out of the car is unclear.<
Unclear??? How about crass stupidity and incompetence of the faux-cop? IF this wannabe had simply said to the woman, "Ma'am, it's dangerous to leave a dog in a car in this weather", and had not had to prove his pee-pee wasn't the size of a pencil eraser, this dog would still be alive.
does he like cats too?
Department of Human Services Police Officer Stephen Sexton get the call and goes to investigating and finds a dog locked in a hot car
From Newsday:
Sexton was off-duty and not in uniform at the time of the incident, [Human Services spokesman Ed] Rogan said.
Sexton's report said he noticed the panting dog in a car next to his while unloading his groceries.

"Ciardiello said she saw Sexton standing against her SUV, his arms folded across his chest..."
AND LOITERING!!!!! : )
Scary incident. There are good cops and then there are loose screws who need to be forever banished from law enforcement due to obvious psychological(Rambo) problems.
The story clearly states that this happened at night, when it is not hot outside. I don't see how this woman did a damn thing wrong. I take my dog on quick errands quite often in the evening. Does that make me a criminal too?
Per your Newsday find, it does clear up some questions. It looks like this jerk wasn't sent to the scene, but took the matter into his own hands and got a little too power hungry.
Thanks for finding that.
I looked up the State site cause the article indicated he was a State officer. I still think there is something very not right in how he approached the woman and handled the situation. I do not blame her for being very frightened, I would have been too.
All of which are felonies, and all of which this ex-"officer" should be charged with, he probably won't be though.
I have had do gooders call the cops on me twice because I left my dogs in my car with the air conditioner on. Even then I still check on them. Some people just over react.
PS: I make sure they can't drive the car off or lock themselves inside.
Not as bad as a keyboard commando spewing such crap....pretty stupid comment in my opinion. Didn't think you were capable of such .....
Very true. There is little difference in political parties in this state. Local Reps can afford to have standards, but once they start moving up the political ladder all bets are off....well, all I have to say is Christie Whitman was no Republican. I don't know why she thinks she is.
The Newsday article said the time she went to the store was 6:00 p.m. Sunset in Trenton that day was 7:48 p.m. So unless she parked in the shade, which was possible, she would have been in the wrong to leave her dog in the car in the sun. And if she mouthed off to the officer and he was such a red-neck SOB, I can see how the incident escalated. But the cop overreacted and there definitely will be a lawsuit.
