Oh gosh I am so sorry for this woman and her husband not to mention their beloved dog Rusti. What the hell was the matter with this guy anyway? How come he doesn't look for KIDS left in cars? This sounds way over the edge and I believe this woman in how she said this all happened. This "officer" should be held accountable for harrasment and...negligence as he scared this woman not knowing who he was and caused the death of her dog. HE IS RESPONSIBLE IN THIS CASE...NO ONE ELSE!!! I hope they sue the living daylights out of him. He obviously has a background that proves he has no business in any poisition of autority. NONE!

If you make a citizen's arrest, which is the only kind the ex-cop would be allowed to make, you may not use active force to stop someone. The ex-cop should immediately be charged with assault and battery for pulling her out of the car, reckless endangerment, criminal negligence, etc.

I live in Woodbridge township and frequently take my dog with me to the store.
I totally believe this woman. Our township has had ALOT of, shall I say, non people friendly authority figures, I've heard stories over the years.
Police Dept.s seem to be very incestuous around here and it all about who you know.
