Big bang near Crocker Galleria in SF, Post St. closed down, smell of gunpowder.
Wow. Is this true? I was on vacation and didn't hear too much about it at that time now that I think about it.
Thanks Kevin for saying that, apparently you are held in higher regard than us because you were here in 1999... We're still pushed to the back of the bus... : )
Nah, he was a booze hound.
I'll keep a close eye on it, just in case.....Fox has moved on for now.....construction rescue in Detroit.
But, Fox was an hour late in reporting this catastophe. Maybe to get the story straight, I don't know...
Oh Jeeze, did he have to say THAT ??
Yep. I was in Tower 2 at the time, I remember it like it was yesterday.
Again, live footage at

Fox said it was good practice in case a real terrorist attack ever happens there....but I don't believe them.
Good to know you're out there. I live in Pleasant Hill but work in the Financial District at One Maritime Plaza. I'm looking out at the Bay Bridge and Treasure Island as I'm typing this. This is truly a great city, despite our most vocal citizens.
Push back, I do.
I remember when the dinosaurs roamed the earth and I still went to school, we used to make little kids get out of the seats in the back of the bus and give them to us, back then, those seats were prime real-estate. :-)
No kidding? That had to be unnerving. Is that when they were telling you it was a transformer?
Yes, indeed and thanks for drawing the contrast graphically.
My buddy is evacuated from this...so yes, it is a little personal. Are you watching the live feed?
Are any of you people reading any of this?
Tom Demartini, a construction worker who was sitting in his truck outside the store in the heart of the city, said he heard the explosion and saw the sidewalk rise up six or seven inches.
"It sounded like a big poof, then there was a lot of smoke," Demartini said. "One woman looked like she was badly burned."
Some here have thought this was cute and humorous from the beginning, making joke fit for a 13 year old boy, and you tell me to lighten up??
Would you be saying this if it was your mother laying in a burn center right now?
Ever been to a burn ward?
You think this is somehow funny and cute?
Crews from Pacific Gas & Electric were on-scene, helping police bomb squads and FBI explosive technicians with the investigation.
KGO is also a good source of radio-borne STDs.
Try 740 KCBS -- they're the wall-to-wall news station in the Bay Area. But KGO 810?? **HURL**
Not saying HE was a homo, but he allowed one or two on his staff.
No comment about the statement, but I love your tag line. :-) He's my favorite driver. I have him picked in the FR fantasy league to win Sunday.
Not getting any info from here (Michigan), why are there bomb squads and FBI if it's a transformer. Or could it be something else and that is just the story they are giving for now?
