FAMILY OF FALLEN SOLDIER PLEADS: PLEASE STOP, CINDY! Thu Aug 11 2005 12:56:21 ET
The family of American soldier Casey Sheehan, who was killed in Iraq on April 4, 2004, has broken its silence and spoken out against his mother Cindy Sheehan's anti-war vigil against George Bush held outside the president's Crawford, Texas ranch.
The following email was received by the DRUDGE REPORT from Casey's aunt and godmother:
Our family has been so distressed by the recent activities of Cindy we are breaking our silence and we have collectively written a statement for release. Feel free to distribute it as you wish. Thanks Ð Cherie
In response to questions regarding the Cindy Sheehan/Crawford Texas issue: Sheehan Family Statement:
The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect.
Sincerely,
Casey Sheehan's grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
Developing..
Good to hear this. Thanks.Cindy and MoveOn.Org can take a flying leap.
I couldn't agree more. And if anybody gets physically hurt at the hands of these "peace-niks", I'm going to be pointing all my fingers at the MSM. They are egging the moonbats on, and they know it.
We'll never agree on this one. Grief effects people in different ways. In this case, I think it's caused this woman to have a breakdown and allowed her to be used as a tool. You obviously believe otherwise. We'll never come to an understanding.
Thank you for your service to our country. Thanks for keeping us safe. "Proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free, and I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me."
Thank you.
Perhaps it was the "articulate" individual who finds himself suddenly unemployed this evening.
LOL!!! Yes -they are mindless twits running from one tin foil hatted moonbat 'conspiracy' or 'outrage' to another... LOL -- they still dream and mentally self medicate with delusion as they impatiently wait -tinfoil on heads for the Ohio recount to overturn the election, Diebold to reveal the secret plans, Tom Delay to get booted out of the House, The Downing Street Memo to blow the 'corrupt' administration apart, Cheney and his Halliburton Cronies to go down, President Bush to be impeached and on and on and on and on...
The liberals wacko party is dying and this must be the final gasps of the pro-abortion homosexual friendly rabid and deranged kennedyesque elephant gearing up for its final impotent charge before dropping dead unable to carry it own overwhelming weight comprised of sheer absurdity and irrelevance...
I have lost a child; my only child; a son 27 years old.
This cannot be blamed on her grief. Period.
I hope the letter-writer was fired. Idiot.
LOL. Good post!
It's been a good day so far, huh? :-)
Read it again! He WAS fired this very day!
I do not disagree with your point, but I want to make one quick point about the way you referred to "the 9-11 families." That phrasing makes it sound as if all of the families of victims of 9-11 were united in anything and, particularly, were united behind the actions of people like "the Jersey girls." That is not true.
What is true is that, within the incredibly large population of 9-11 families a handful of leftists took the excuse to push their own political agenda. They also dragged along some naive and bitter people looking for someone, anyone, to lash out at over their pain. I'm sure there were also some at the other extreme politically who also wanted to find a soapbox and get their views heard. The difference, as in Cindy Sheehan's case, is that the MSM have fixated on and promoted the "hate America first" crowd, primarily because it advances their "hate America first" agenda.
I truly feel sorry for Cindy Sheehan, not only for the loss of her son but for the sad, pathetic fantasy life she has now been dragged into by unscrupulous agents of hate. She is a victim many times over here and perhaps the worst damage is being done to her by her so called friends in the "anti-war" crowd and the media.
Look on your ping page.....it should still be there!
"What's it all about... Cindyyyyyyy?"
She did however provide the fact that Bush knew her name, and called her by name.
Which again raises questions about Sheehan's insistance NOW that Bush didn't know her name.
You can tell by her choice of words that she is an Anti-war Leftist.
and probably always has been.
Her Son is a Better American than She will ever Be.
She is an Insult to His Service and Sacrifice.
I will forever Be gratefull For His Service. He carried Justice to the Enemy. for all of Us.
She is a Bitter soul, looking for someone to Blame, so She Blames Bush Because it is easier.
Bwahahahaha! (Not sure how I missed that...)
Thank you for your service to our country, thanks for keeping us safe.
Not bad. Not bad at all. :D
