FAMILY OF FALLEN SOLDIER PLEADS: PLEASE STOP, CINDY! Thu Aug 11 2005 12:56:21 ET
The family of American soldier Casey Sheehan, who was killed in Iraq on April 4, 2004, has broken its silence and spoken out against his mother Cindy Sheehan's anti-war vigil against George Bush held outside the president's Crawford, Texas ranch.
The following email was received by the DRUDGE REPORT from Casey's aunt and godmother:
Our family has been so distressed by the recent activities of Cindy we are breaking our silence and we have collectively written a statement for release. Feel free to distribute it as you wish. Thanks Ð Cherie
In response to questions regarding the Cindy Sheehan/Crawford Texas issue: Sheehan Family Statement:
The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect.
Sincerely,
Casey Sheehan's grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

She won't stop.
Very soory about her fallen son, but it's all about her face time on TV, a nobody becomes a somebody. In addition, she is probably getting $ under the table from leftist groups.

Am I right here. Her own grandparents are telling her to stop.

I had heard family members from California, that they were mortified her actions. I am glad they are finally speaking out on a national level.
I still would like to smack this woman.

I knew this will end badly. The end is coming soon.
This woman seems to have cracked looks to be mentally ill. She has been used by the media and lib groups to advance their campaign against the president. She has been put so far into the spotlight that she's about to crack in a tragic way.

Now we're finding out who had the true influence in Casey's life- and it wasn't his moonbat mom.

I fear for her own life, she is not stable that is obvious. She may become a danger to herself.
The left would love a martyr.

Did someone from FR send this to drudge or did drudge see this on FR and post it?

she really has become unhinged. Yes I feel for for her loss but what she has done is nuts. I wish that some other families of other fallen soldiers would speak out against her

is this letter authentic?I had my reservations, but Drudge lends credibility.

God bless the family for bringing the dignity and honor that Casey displayed while defending his country back to this sad fiasco. We can't bring Casey or any of the other 1800 killed back, but we can remember and honor them as we have done for over 200 years with all our fallen heroes. The saying, "freedom isn't free" is so true when we are fighting for our republic and democracies all over the world.

Am I the only one who wants this to get uglier? Cindy Sheehan is like Howard Dean: Keep talking and keep saying imbecilic things until the men with the straight jacket come calling.

I'm sorry too, but I'm getting really, really sick of victims families becoming overnight experts. Like the 9-11 families trying to dictate US policy. It's stupid. What does this woman know about war, Iraq, the Pres, or anything else? I served in Bosnia, and my Mom couldn't even find it on a map.

I trust that the family sent this to Drudge. If they had sent it to the NY Times or CBS, it would have been marked as spam and deleted.
