9/11 Commission Acknowledges Briefing On Able Danger
Captain's Quarters ^ | August 10, 2005 | Captain Ed

Tomorrow's New York Times reports that members of the 9/11 Commission reversed themselves and now acknowledge being briefed on the Army's data mining project, Able Danger, prior to the publication of their report to the American people. After over 24 hours of denying that anyone had told the Commission about the secret project, their spokesman now says that commission officials met with a uniformed officer who told them about the identification of Mohammed Atta and three other 9/11 hijackers in 2000, over a year prior to the attacks:

I just hope the Commission doesn't circle the wagons to protect Ms. Garlic. Not that they love her, but after all, she was Janet Reno's Justice Dept. right-hand man....and also a confidant of the Billarys.

She's got to know a lot of hard-core info on where the Clinton Mafia barfed in the buckwheat.....and possibly she has something on some Commission members also.

Remember, serving on commissions together creates strange bedfellows. Many times, a type of creepy bonding ensues. I hope the members didn't bond with Jaime too much.

BTW, as a native Illinoisan, have we heard anything yet from that morbidly limp Commission member, RINO Big Jim Thompson?

I knew there would be no worthwhile public assessment of the 9/11 attacks as soon as the government named a "commission" to investigate the issue. And appointing a pair of abject mediocrities like Tom Kean and Bob Kerrey to head the stupid commission was a blatant acknowledgement that the entire thing was nothing more than window-dressing.

Most, if not all, of the rest were in on it. They were chosen for a reason.

I've got an even better idea. I think the President ought to bring home every member of the U.S. military currently stationed overseas and start figuring out just what the hell this country is supposed to stand for. Waging a stupid "war on terror" halfway around the world while we can't even deal with blatant acts of treason WITHIN OUR OWN F#CKING GOVERNMENT is a disgrace.

The 9/11 Commission knew that lawyers in the Clinton administration prevented the FBI from taking down Atta's cell. Yet they didn't mention a peep about that in their report because they wanted to cover for slick Willie. Pathetic.

The first question is, "Were they lying when they said that they'd never heard of it or are they lying when they said they did?"

Remember, the PRIME objective od the 9/11 Commission was to prove that Willie was not involve and divert any effort to prove that he was. Today's change in story might just be some Hillie-ites following on their swords to take blame ane keep it away from Gorelick and the other traitors/thieves that were in our goverment.

Had Willie been a good guy, the NYT would already be examining the Berger thefts, what Richardson was doing while at the UN and the background of every Clintonista on the 9/11 Commission.

This is not just trying to sink a former President, this all demonstrates Hillie's lack of integrity/ethcs/honesty to sewrve as Senator, much less any other federal office.

The one person who NEEDS Bubba's record cleared on pre-911 intelligence is Hillary. To run for office with "real blame" ATTRIBUTED directly to the President for 9-11 would be a death blow. That's EXACTLY what this SPECIAL 9-11 investigation did. "It was all those agencies"!!, said the Commissioners.

Please don't tell me that news of a cell within the US does not make it to the President's Office. Bubba made the decision to quash this and no one else.

I always said that Bubba would be the one to "let slip" information out that would quash Hillary...Ahh, Sweet Revenge.

Only the GOP appointed "abject mediocrities" to sit on the 9/11 Commission. The Dims, as usual, stacked the panel with rabid partisan attack dogs as well as the foxes responsible for the henhouse raids. They easily steamrolled Tom Kean and the rest of the Republican jellyfish, and turned the panel into a muck mining and propaganda generating operation for the Kerry campaign.

Of course, now they want another bite at the apple once it became clear they screwed the pooch, supposedly to find the "truth." Yeah right, they just want to cover their own sorry asses and once again deflect the blame away from the Clintons.

Remember when Hillary went to the Senate floor with the NY Times head line 'Bush Knew'.

Well, waging the war on terror halfway around the world, losing American lives and treasure...trying to establish fledgling democracy and a different way of life...freedom...in the MidEast is actually the alternative to fighting the war here in the US or nuking those countries, areas of the world that foster Islamofascism. Okay, we could surrender, that's the fourth alternative, but that's not on. As John Kerry has said about other things, it's complicated.

I remember Hill in 'Ol Crusty on the Senate Floor, waving the NYPost (I think it was the Post), with the headline, 'Bush Knew'. What are the odds she'll show up with another NYPost and the headline, 'Clinton 9/11 Coverup'!

Hill has said over and over that she's going to run on Bill's record...it will be his third term. She may have to rethink her boilerplate stump speech.

A legitimate unbiased MSM press would be hounding the daylights out of Jamie Gorelick about now (whatever rock she is presenty under). Beyond Atta and the direct Al-Qaida perpetrators, Gorelick is the person most responsible for 9-11 being a successful terrorist operation.

True enough but don't forget her boss Janet and Janet's boss Bill. She was just the spear carrier. Others gave the orders.

In any case, the MSM will only pursue this line if they believe that they can pin it on the Bush Admininisration. After all, the info was there in the Pentagon. Why didn't Bush use that info to stop the 9/11 attack. MSM answer: because he needed his own personal Pearl Harbor to start the evil War on Terror and kill a bunch of innocent people. Don't be surprised if this is the way the MSM spins it.

Hillary has a REAL problem if this has legs. She's been touting "My husband", aka Bubba, as the greatest leader since the beginning of time.
