NY TIMES INVESTIGATES ADOPTION RECORDS OF SUPREME COURT NOMINEE'S CHILDREN
**Exclusive**
The DRUDGE REPORT has uncovered a plot in the NEW YORK TIMES' newsroom to look into the adoption of the children of Supreme Court Nominee John G. Roberts.
The TIMES has investigative reporter Glen Justice hot on the case to investigate adoption records of Judge Roberts two young children, Josie age 5 and Jack age 4, a top source reveals.
Judge Roberts and his wife Jane adopted the children when they each were infants.
Both children were adopted from Latin America.
A TIMES insider claims the look into the adoptions are part of the paper's "standard background check."
Roberts young son Jack delighted millions of Americans during his fathers Supreme Court nomination announcement ceremony when he wouldnt stop dancing while the President and his father spoke to a national television audience.
Previously the WASHINGTON POST Style section had published a story criticizing the outfits Josies and Jacks mother had them wear at the announcement ceremony.
One top Washington official with knowledge of the NEW YORK TIMES plans declared: Trying to pry into the lives of the Roberts family like this is despicable. Childrens lives should be off limits. The TIMES is putting politics over fundamental decency.
One top Republican official when told of the situation was incredulous. This cant possibly be true?

Do I just have no eye for ethnicity, or don't the kids look more Northern European than Latin? They don't look Hispanic or Indian, and I don't think blond hair is frequent even among the white upper class to our South. Not all of "Latin" America is Latin, or American aborigini. Lots of Germans, and English settled in Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay. Some before WW-I, many afterwards, and a few after WW-II. Very few in Argentina look "indio", and many look quite European, including northern European. They don't have near the Scotch-Irish population that we have however.

that what the wanted to do is against several laws.I get the impression that the leak came to Drudge from within the NYT.
Someone with some sense wanted to stop this out of the gate.
There truely is a God.

I'm not so sure, this lawyer Brit talked to was outraged by the request of the NYT's. He might have been the source.

They're alive and not on the dinner plates of abortionist ghouls. That's exactly what's making the Times so mad...

The way I read the letter was that they investigated the adoptions and could uncover nothing out of the order.
Had they uncovered something like going around a certain agency or not filling in all the spaces, I assume they would have gone after Roberts children with all hands armed to the hilt on deck and be damned to the feelings of Roberts, his wife or the mental stability of the children for years to come.
I hate to think that we have such a bunch of scumbags led by a purported homosexual with an apparent anti-Christian, anti-Bush, anti-American agenda.

You didn't hear Brit Hume on FoxNews' panel - catch the replay. The Slimes was fishing. Brit reported that people he talked to said that they (the Slimes) was inquiring of lawyers how to get the adoption records unsealed.

Sammon and Brit tore the other two apart, especially Brit. How they could hold their heads up and defend these scum at the NYT's is reprehensible in its own right. Jeff couldn't even hold his head up at the end.

Sammon and Brit tore the other two apart, especially Brit. This was wrong, in principle. People without principles cannot understand this.
Adoption records are sealed specifically to prevent scumbags like the NYTimes from destroying the children to get at the parents.

I'm beginning to think that Drudge just makes up these quotes from his unnamed sources. The quotes always seem to match Drudge's sensationalistic, somewhat hokey writing style. Brit did some investigations of his own. The comments are correct as given.

I meant that ignorant hussy that works at the Washington comPost as fashion editor.
Funny how secularists left wing thinking minorities complain about conservatives not being sensitive to others but when you put them in positions of authority they go wild bashing anyone who doesn't see eye to eye with them or their squirrelly causes.
Something on the order of what Robert Mugabe is doing to all the old white land owners in his country.

I'm beginning to think that Drudge just makes up these quotes from his unnamed sources. And I am beginning to think this about all unnamed sources, even when they are telling me something that I want to hear.
Even though Brit didn't name names, either, I was glad to get a independant confirmation.

Did you see Jeff's face when began to attempt to justify the actions of the NYT's? Brit jumped right in and told him, exactly what he had found out about the NYT's actions.
Jeff was shamefaced.
Bill Sammons was great too saying how one newspaper went after his wife and another paper which will remain nameless, (Jeff's newspaper btw) went after how the children were dressed. He said this is about Judge Roberts and his judicial rulings NOT his family.

Anybody else notice that the conservative pundits on most roundtable shows and segments are opinion columnists while the liberal sides are almost always working "journalists"?
Ceci Connelly, Juan Williams, guest liberals on Special Report , for instance, seem to always be "reporters". A classic case is Elanor Clift, a liberal kook, but Newsweek has her doing "reporting" all these years. The only conservative "reporter" I can recall is Bill Sammon.
DemocRATs scurry low to the ground... so it isn't any surprise MediacRATS do too.

From the public editor of the NYT, courtesy of the lovely and talented and smart and lovely Michelle Malkin.
Dear Reader,
Thanks for writing to us.
While the public editor does not usually get involved in pre-publication
matters, Bill Keller, the executive editor of the paper, told us that he
would not stand for any gratuitous reporting about the Roberts's children.
He said that as an adoptive parent he is particularly sensitive about this
issue.
In addition, a senior editor at the paper wrote, "In the case of Judge
Roberts's family, our reporters made initial inquiries about the adoptions,
as they did about many other aspects of his background. They did so with
great care, understanding the sensitivity of the issue. We did not order up
an investigation of the adoptions. We have not pursued the issue after the
initial inquiries, which detected nothing irregular about the adoptions."
Sincerely,
Joe Plambeck
